St. Matthew's Lutheran Church — Attraction in Charleston

My family and I have attended St. Matthews for over 30 years. We had baptisms, weddings, and confirmations performed there. When my grandmother got sick, however, we were told they could not visit her in the hospital because they no longer do that. When my grandmother passed away, they said we have no pasters available for the funeral. They offered no alternatives for obtaining a paster, no condulences, and didn't appear to care. This was the church of my late partner and his family. Still is. Visited the church twice. It is a gorgeous building housing an amazing array of beautiful stained glass. Do and taught stained glass for over 30 years. It completely captivated me upon entering. The figures are beautifully painted. Not cartoonish. The colors are vibrant and tastefully balanced. The borders are as intricate as an Oriental rug....

Absolutely Beautiful. We did the ribbon tying and then my mother said she would love to go inside, the guy who was going to do closing later in the evening said we could and we had a lot of time to look around.
