First let me say Elle who helped us was amazing. She was very friendly and patient with me as I designed my hat. The experience is fun and if you’ve never been to other custom hat stores you may not have anything to compare this hat store experience to. However, I did and for the price you pay for their custom fitted hats and the quality of them, I’d say unfortunately it is over priced. Just the custom hat alone starts at $395 then you pay for the accessories on top of that. Which is relative to custom hat stores in places like Austin, TX however the hats in a store like Maufrais, you pay the same but the quality of their hats is far superior and they have a lot more options then what is offered here. Also, the accessories I would say again comparing to other stores, they could enhance the quality of their selection. Lastly, if I am paying $500 or more for a hat I do expect a complimentary hat box. They use regular paper gift bags with tissue paper to store your hat.
