Noddy Charleston — Local services in Charleston

Like many other reviews, staff was incredibly rude. I believe it was the owner working, which is even more shameful. A lot of items can be found on Amazon (as other reviewers have pointed out). Do not take photos or you will be yelled at. I went to take a photo of an item to send to a friend who was at a conference across the street, to see if she wanted me to purchase it for her. The owner yelled at me saying, “no photos. Read the signs. We have plenty around”. First off, I did not see a single sign until after she pointed it out (it was also a camera with a line through it- one sign that’s it). There are other ways in which she could have KINDLY requested no photos. For example, “Hi, I saw you take a photo. In case you weren’t aware, we have a no photo policy. Is there anything I can help you with?” I also asked how much a sticker was and the worker seemed annoyed I even asked.

I was going to go back and purchase some items that I had TOLD my friend about, but after the way she treated me, we decided to take our business elsewhere. I support small business, but not when they treat customers like trash. Kindness goes a long way, but not in this store. I’m local and will not be recommending this shop,

OVER priced. Nothing is made locally from Charleston and everything is purchased from an online retailer. A made the mistake of purchasing an item from this store because of ego and how I was greeted by the owner of this store. If, I can spare just one person from going into this ”cute” store and buying anything or supporting this business then great. Even if no one acknowledges this review. Go on Amazon, you will have better customer service there! Oh and they don’t do returns. They will give you a store credit instead of YOUR money back. More red flags !

I highly recommend that you think twice about buying or supporting this business. I have a low tolerance for people that rip people off by overpricing things and horrible customer service, especially if you are the owner of the business. So if you want to support a local artist and local Charleston businesses. Go to the Mills house and support a talented local artist ( REBECCA illustrated )and her shop. I promise you her stuff is way better than what you would get...

I ordered a oyster shell wreath for my door and was in a bit of shock when I received the product. For one, the packaging of the wreath was VERY poor and the box was in poor condition. The box was not the correct size for the product and appeared that zero effort was put into the overall delivery. (HINT: for the business, they make boxes for wreaths) The wreath also did NOT provide any hanger on the back of it, which is odd considering you HANG a wreath. I have never purchased a wreath where I have had to do my own DYI to make the product usable. Considering the overall price of the product, it would been assumed by MOST that the wreath would have been packaged in the appropriate manner and a hanger be provided in the back. With this particular wreath, it is heavy so not just ANY back hanger will work. I would provide 2 photos but the review is not uploading the pictures!
