Nestled in the East main street of the charlottesville town, Lazeez is a culinary gem for an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance, adorned with tasteful decor.

The menu at Lazeez is a delightful journey through vibrant flavors and exquisite dishes. Every item is showcasing the chef's dedication to authenticity and innovation. I highly recommend starting with the appetizer Collard Green Munch, which features a delectable assortment of baby Spinach, Kale and the condiments on the top is just bursting with flavor.

For the main course, the butter chicken and punjabi Chicken Curry is a standout that pairs perfectly with the freshly baked garlic naans that we ordered. The vegetarian options, including the paneer butter masala and Dal makhani are equally impressive, offering rich flavors that even non-vegetarians will love.

We went on Valentine’s Day for a special dinner. We cancelled our reservations at another restaurant after considering this place.

The good. The food was great. I had a shrimp dish which was excellent. Massive shrimp topped with well cooked veggies in a flavorful sauce in a great presentation. My husband had the butter chicken which was great. The garlic naan we ordered was also very good. The bartender that served our wine was incredibly friendly and professional. If we go again, we will happily sit at the bar to hopefully receive service from him.

The bad: The service from our waiter and the general service. Again, this was a special dinner and we planned to spend a good deal of time at the restaurant. When we sat down we were told we had to order everything at once. Not ideal, particularly for Valentine’s Day dinner, but it was a busy evening. My dish came out a good 5 minutes before my husbands. I was halfway through mine before he got his. I ordered my dish medium, and he ordered his spicy. There must have been a mixup as mine was quite spicy while his was very mild. After receiving both our dishes, our server did not come by for half an hour, at which point we were ready for our check to leave.

I do hope to return, and hopefully receive better service as the food was good, but the service left much...
