For anyone interested in entering the Warhammer hobby, I highly recommend this GW location!
I'm a very new Warhammer player, so when I first went into this store a few months ago, I was really shy and nervous to bump elbows with anyone, but that all faded away very quickly!
You can immediately tell that Nicholas, the store manager, is super passionate about the hobby, and is more than happy to give advice to both new and veteran players whether it be gaming strategies, or what paints to use on your next project. He's very understanding, and genuinely cares about everyone who walks through the door. Always wanting to know them better, and what they're currently working on. You're awesome, Nick!
As for the store itself, it's got a great selection of miniatures, paints, Novels, rulebooks, terrain, and other tabletop accessories. I especially love how well organized everything is. They've also got special events and days of the week dedicated to specific activities!
Like I said before, I love this GW store, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Wargaming, figure painting, or just...
Read moreYou will never hear me say that Warhammer miniatures are an inexpensive hobby. In all honesty, out of all the hobbies I have, it is the most expensive.
This is why it is best to cut out the middle man. You will find a perfect selection of all the models and kits you would like at this shop. Furthermore, you can have any model in the entirety of GW's catalog shipped here for free.
Secondly, I want to address the knowledge of the staff. If you go to any game and comic shop, they will have their Warhammer section and their warhammer guy who can answer questions, but when I call up the GW store and ask them what the difference between a Doomhammer super-heavy tank and a Baneblade Super-Heavy tank is, or what is the cheapest kit I can buy to get a plasma gun sized for an imperial guardsman, they have the information I need on hand.
I pass by three seperate gameshops during my drive from my house to this store. The trip is worth it to be sure I get exactly what I need, at a price that is as good as direct from the website, without having to pay...
Read moreThe employees are great but the business is awfull. Its overpriced compared to stores just down the street you're saving anywhere from $40-15. Bever order anything from the store, as I have done this three times over the past 2 years each time I think it's going to be different it's a complete frustrating disappointment. I would order a model from the store and be told it would be there in a few days. It constantly gets delayed, but the worst part is each time I ordered a model that was delayed I would go in to check on it and line behold that exact same model is sitting on the self. But your expected to wait another week as "your" model is being delayed again. There is a reason that the third party stores have larger gameing areas for the games Games Workshop makes and that's because they have far superior infrastructure and customer service. If you want to get into warhammer take the extra 5 minutes to drive to another shop what you will save in money and frustration is...
