This was the absolutely worst experience I have EVER had with a business in Cheyenne. I received a beautiful ring for my birthday that I ended up having to get cut off my finger. When I went to Teton, the owner was confident he could resize it without losing any diamonds, and it would look like new. He said if any did fall out, he would simply place them back in. I felt really good about it when I left. When I picked up the ring, it looked ok in the store's lighting, but when I got home, there were diamonds completely MISSING and he said nothing about it. There was also a baguette diamond set completely vertically. Additionally, he said he rhodium plated the ring, which we paid for, and another local jeweler confirmed it had not been plated and confirmed the missing diamonds.
When my husband took the ring back, the owner was dismissive but acted like he didn't know about the missing diamonds and didn't even acknowledge he hadn't plated the ring. He said he would fix it like new. My husband came in weekly for over a month to check on progress, and kept being told they were waiting on rhodium to arrive. Each time a date was given, and we heard nothing. Finally, my husband was able to pick up the ring this week. It looks absolutely terrible. There is spotting all over the metal, it is not sized correctly, and the diamonds are not even. We are confirming the diamonds that were replaced were actual diamonds, and I will update my review if not. However, I am not sure how they disappeared and then re-appeared. Overall, we are weighing our options to get the ring replaced.
Please, do not trust this person with your jewelry! If we had not looked hard enough we might not have taken this in for a second opinion. A total waste of money. We might have been able to get it fixed by another jeweler, but we tried to support local and the reviews were good. Now, we feel it is beyond repair without spending hundreds of dollars. I wonder how many people they have...
Read moreTruly horrible customer service - I do not recommend them at all. I came in for 2 purposes: a necklace I needed repaired and a ring I wanted to consign. They took both, telling me they would call me when the necklace was repaired and when they had a contract for my consignment item (which they estimated would take about a week). After a month I hadn't heard anything, so I stopped by but the shop was randomly closed during their open hours. After two months, they finally answered a call - my necklace was done, but no one had felt the need to call me. I went in to pick up the necklace repair, and asked if they had a contract for my ring. They said they'd get one written up over the weekend and call me on Monday. Monday came and went, no communication.
Over the next ~6 months I would try calling randomly and not get an answer, or swing by and they'd be closed. Finally, I stopped by at a time they were open. By this point, they'd had my ring for nearly a year. I went in and told them I just wanted to pick up my ring because I had never heard anything from them, never received a contract, etc. One gentleman tried to help me, but the older gentleman began raising his voice at me telling me I needed to come back later since he had to "set stones, there is a WEDDING" (this was on a weekday). I told him I would rather not come back later since I had been waiting so long already, and he continued to yell at me that I just needed to come back. I went and sat in my car in front of the store for one hour (because I did not trust them and half expected them to just lock up the store and leave), then went in and was able to finally retrieve my property.
AVOID AT ALL COST - they have no business management, poor customer service, and quite frankly, I'm surprised I got my property...
Read moreI am sorely disappointed and really didn't want to write this review, but it needs to be said. We have always taken my wedding ring to Teton for any sizing, repair and cleaning needs. My wedding ring was even custom made here! However this past visit was an awful experience and I don't think we will be back. I went through significant weight loss and needed my ring resized down 3 sizes. I was told that was no problem and paid up front for the resizing and for new prongs. The shop had my ring for nearly 2 months. During that two months, not once did the shop call us. Repeatedly stated they lost our contact info. We had to call regularly for updates. A miscommunication between owner and his son resulted in my ring being resized incorrectly. That was fine and we were completely understanding, but then I was told this repair was essentially too challenging due to going down 3 sizes, which was never stated to us when we brought the ring in. My ring came back in the end dirty, incredibly scuffed and scratched up, and with a black burn mark. There was no explanation nor apology. I actually cried when I got it back as it is my most sentimental piece of jewelry that means so much to me and I completely trusted it to Teton. We decided to let it go and take my ring elsewhere to get...
