I'm only giving 4 stars because there's a lot of empty retail space. About a year ago I had an awful-turned-amazing experience at this mall. I had just purchased a skirt at one of the stores and was going upstairs to the bathrooms to change for a nicer dinner I had later that night. When I walked up the escalator, a man in his 40s started being really creepy. He kept telling me those bathrooms were disgusting and that I needed to come up to his apartment in the top of the building, that I was too pretty to be using the bathrooms, etc. The second floor of this mall is pretty vacant and there's an elevator to the apartments right there, so he had me trapped. I convinced him finally that I really needed to go so I would just use this bathroom and he could wait for me (to buy myself some time). But for once, the bathroom was empty and I was so afraid he would come in after a while.
Not knowing what to do, I called the mall's number listed on Google Maps. When I asked through tears if they had security, without question the friendly representative immediately transferred me to the security line. I told them what was going on and within 2 minutes, they were knocking on the bathroom door and offering to escort me out the mall. He had left- probably when he saw security- but I gave them his description and they said he'd been doing that to a lot of women recently, and told me, "Don't worry, we're going to get him." Before letting me go they made sure I was okay. I've been to that mall alone dozens of times since then because the amazing security team here makes me feel safe enough...
Read moreI was at the movies and ordered my food and 20 mins later rung the bell and the usher said he would go check on my order. 15 mins later came back and said it was a confusion with my order and had to be remade. 25 mins later I rung the bell again and another usher came and I asked where's my order and he said he would check on it and never came back.. I never gotten my order and now the movie is over, so I see the first usher and told him I never gotten my order and he said are you sure I didn't bring you your order and continued to ask that.. if I received my order we wouldn't be having this conversation so I asked for the supervisor and he said the bell didn't work, when it did clearly and my order was given to someone else.. he said from now on when placing and order you have to come and check on your order, which means you have to miss the movie to check.. so inconsiderate and unprofessional so I got a refund for the order but he didn't offer anything to compensate for the time and inconvenience of not ever getting my order. I used to love the AMC block 37 but not now and won't be going back. If I could rate it a...
Read moreThis place really is just so sad & gross. I mean, when the owner can't even bother to keep the description updated on Google... Latinicity has been closed for a very long time. No one has asked you to keep jet engines of heat blasting at 500° at the B1 entrances, making the handles on the doors so hot you can barely touch them, and the lower level businesses unable to be tolerated long enough to support them. Your "security" is a joke & is usually teenagers just hiding in a corner using their phones. You've closed the public bathrooms, so, hope you don't want to eat while you're there and wash your hands or anything. The elevators and escalators are always broken. And since you don't have any stairs leading from L1 to B1, and the only down escalator is not just shut down, but fully blocked, there is no other way to get to the subway. This escalator has been blocked off for quite a while, not just one day. If you're constantly taking away all the services & amenities that should draw people in and keep customers in the building, why do you bother to exist? This is why...
