I'll add photos later but this is what I think there's a lot of students that are attending this school and there are more coming in I think what they need to do is utilize the whole entire building we have students that do recording sessions and there are not enough pods on the 4th floor for the students to utilize I think the 4th floor shift be solely dedicated to the pods so the students can continue to utilize the pods and do their school work the reason why I chose the 4th floor is because it's less noise you don't have to worry about anybody stomping over your head because the students are doing their work the second should be used for radio television and broadcasting and the third floor should be used for digital media Productions the first floor should be used as a cafeteria I know it's small but it might help the students stop eating all over the building we're in a small area and one of the classrooms is also a room where the students can go and eat lunch I know classes start from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. but sometimes there's students like myself they will come in after eating breakfast at 7:30 in the morning and still be hungry and their students that will come in with their breakfast and they would like to sit down and enjoy their breakfast but since we can't do it in the classroom we can log into teams eat our breakfast and then come to our respectful classrooms after eating breakfast then when we get ready to go to lunch we could do the same thing some of us have personal issues where we might have to eat at a certain time of day and so we could sit down there on the first floor at the lunch tables eat our lunch and still be in class at the same time through teams I know I've said this twice but I think the whole entire building should be utilized also I've seen a bunch of storage space which is that's great that was a graduation recently and is spilled over into the hallway so maybe we can use part of the building I'm not sure what part yet for a place for the graduates to come the school was blessed with a bigger location I think they should utilize that whole entire location also to attract more students to the school advertise and what I mean advertise have some students and some staff go out to these job fairs and school fairs or do one once a month at the location have the students advertise what they have learned go out to schools and demonstrate board operations and editing take a demo real to these high schools cuz I know grade schools are not able to attend the school yet you have to be 18 but take some demo reels the students and the staff can take some demo reals to the school and show them what IMS Illinois Media School is all about. Although I am coming up with these ideas I am willing to work with any and everyone who jumps on board this bandwagon. To add to it I think it's a great place to get an education while learning a trade is Hands-On in the instructors as a matter of fact it's not the instructors by themselves it's the whole entire staff that is willing to help you even if it's one-on-one that's why this school got a five-star for me not only are they willing to work they're also willing to...
Read moreIt started off as a decent school. I came to the school to pursue film and expressed my interests to the person who showed me around the campus. They seemed supportive and only showed me the film equipment, such as the green room and cameras. This convinced me that this was the right school for me. However, my experience quickly changed after around two months into the program.
Suddenly, we were assigned projects related to radio and other subjects that I did not sign up for. When I approached the school administration to drop these classes, they informed me that it was not possible. Feeling trapped, I decided to ask for permission to leave the school altogether. Unfortunately, I was told that it was too late and that I would still be obligated to pay the remaining balance, regardless of whether I stayed or left.
As time went on, I noticed that the school failed to provide ample opportunities to work with cameras. We only used a camera briefly on occasion, which left me feeling unsatisfied and deceived. Instead, we spent most of our time in the classroom working on website-related projects. This was not what I had signed up for, and it made me question the school's intentions.
Throughout my time at this school, I felt deceived and coerced into paying for an education that did not prioritize my best interests. The lack of hands-on experience with film equipment and the focus on unrelated subjects made me realize that this school was nothing more than a scam. To make matters worse, I am now receiving calls demanding immediate payment, adding insult to injury.
My experience at this film school was nothing short of a disgrace. From the misleading tour to the lack of practical film education, this school failed to deliver on its promises. It is crucial to raise awareness about such deceptive institutions to protect other aspiring filmmakers from falling victim to their...
