I was in the other day and worked with one person who was doing a great job helping me. He was listening to my needs, looking at pictures, considering measurements and really discussing all my projects with me. He was giving me lots of options so I could make the best decision. I had a lot of projects I wanted to complete. Then - I can only assume it was the manager, Pamela came up and said she would help me. Once she started to help me, I felt very rushed and like she was just trying to finish up with me because she had other things to do beside work with me. I bought all the wrong items under her because I felt so pressured. I did not get all my projects done because she rushed me. She did keep asking if I was ok, but she was not very sincere and really lacked a sense of caring like the first person did. I ended up leaving very dissatisfied. No one offered to help me carry the items to my car and I really struggled with the heavy items. It ended up being an awful experience, with what started out so great. I am not going back for the rest of my projects. I am only going to return what I bought that she sold to me because it doesn't work. Everything she sold me and I found for much less at Menards and it fits my needs much better. I am keeping what the first person sold to me, because he really listened and it met my needs. Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this location (908 W North Ave, Chicago) I was shopping for an Instacart order, and during checkout, the employee assisting me (named Sarah) forgot to scan an item. When I politely asked her to refund and rescan everything, she became visibly upset and slammed her barcode scanner multiple times.
I explained that I needed to contact Instacart support to approve the payment again, but each time I asked her to restart the process, she repeated the same behavior. I even apologized for the inconvenience, but her attitude remained unprofessional and unpleasant. In the end, I had to cancel the order because the issue couldn’t be resolved.
I’ve shopped at this location many times, both as a regular customer and as an Instacart shopper, and I’ve never experienced anything like this. Most of the staff here are usually friendly and helpful, which made this experience especially disappointing. I hope management takes steps to ensure better customer service...
Read more5:40, 20 minutes prior to closing. You've got one long line. You get in line. Then, after standing for 15 minutes, you see the front only to discover three cashiers are on the other side, and one cashier is on your side. No one is in line on the 3 person sides, and instead of any of the three cashiers calling people from the 25 minute long line, they put on their blinders and service people who are just coming out of the aisles with their final selections. and one is handling the other. Complete confusion in the 25 minute long line as some brace souls sacrifice the spot at which they had been standing for 15 minutes to risk being told to get back in line. Thanks to a few brave customers to clearly had different plans for their Sunday evening than waiting in line, others followed. The employees? They dgaf. They treat all customers as idiots for not diving their two line policy. I get better customer service from Amazon-don't pay for the brick and mortar surcharge...
