We went this afternoon while visiting the area. We have three kids ages 5, 3 and 1. There was something for everyone! It really is a big place. It includes a part of a real fire truck where the kids can climb on and pretend to drive, a post office space, a dentist space, a veterinary space, a farm/ grocery space, multiple building areas, a forest area with a canoe, an art space, and a nice toddler space. It also has an area where you can calm down and have quieter play. The things in the sensory space were very well thought out! I loved the canoe safe space! As a mom of three whose degree is in child development I highly recommend! It was also very well taken care of and organized.
Things to know before you go. It is 8 dollars for any person in your group older than one. They are open for two to three hours at a time and then close for cleaning. We went on Sunday so our time was 12-2 they close from 2-3 to clean. I think on other days there is a morning time 9:30- 12:30 and an afternoon time 2-5. Not a big deal but you don’t want to show up 20 min before they close- just plan your time wisely😊
I didn’t get very many pictures of the play areas without kids but I do highly recommend for kids...
Read morePros and cons about this location. It’s easy accessible and bathrooms are also easy accessible the location has availability for handicapped open spaces at the mall. The play areas has a variety of toys also for a bit older kids and also for 3 and under. When we got there early in the Morning there was only a few people. There are different play stations thru-out the layout of the children’s museum. A big CON for me was the uncleanliness as a professional that was a huge turn off, from the entrance the play areas the bathroom, the carpets was an absolute disappointment. It gave the appearance it’s not clean daily since we got there when they open so when it’s time to tackle a cleaning job it becomes overwhelming, to get done due to the lack of attention to keeping up with a routine cleaning. The second con is the rippled carpets throughout the museum play area that’s not only a hazard but the area of 3 and under where baby’s do tummy time, they had so much ripped carpet I was like seriously baby’s crawling...
Read moreI have been here numerous times with grandkids and the museum is great. My issue is the customer service I received when checking in . The lady working the desk was very hateful towards me she was worried with my granddaughter who ran ahead with her mother into the small children area granted she is a little older but wanted to take her baby doll over to go down the slide( no other children where in the area) I explained this to her and she proceeds to say she needs to get out she is over the age. I'm aware of the rules and didn't see this as a problem as we was moving on as soon as I payed . The next problem I had was her remark when she asked if I was a member and I said no my granddaughter participates in the WIC program and she said of course she does. What was that remark suppose to mean I took that as offensive. This woman works in a place that small children come to play and instead of my granddaughter starting her visit happy as usual she was upset and crying over...
