My sis & I purchased a new computer & membership to Geek Squad.We brought my old & new computer to transfer data & pics. Also brought 2 flash drives silver & blue.They did not meet expectations. Only 1 out of 5 items on my work order was completed, unacceptable by any standards. The work order states the following: Transfer data (done) Transfer pics from Microsoft One Drive to new computer (not done) Transfer all pics to 2 separate flash drives (not done) Create another user profile on my new computer for my sister (not done) Wipe all of my info from the old hard drive & dispose of the computer (not done) Anthony Serrano, Advance Repair Agent, tried to assist us. The agent who wrote the work order did not obtain one time access code to my One Drive so they were unable to access my pics. This should’ve been done when I dropped off my computers. Anthony took pics from my desktop & put them on my new computer & downloaded those pics to both flash drives. He created the other user profile for my sis & moved stuff on my new computer to the same location as my old computer so it would be familiar, which was greatly appreciated. I had to leave my old computer there again & both flash drives but I was able to take my new computer home. He went out of his way to do what the other agents failed to do. However, 2 days later, Geek Squad said the work was completed. When we arrived, Cheryl Ranjo, Consulting Agent, said the blue flash drive doesn’t work, per Kenny. I said that is incorrect because Anthony was able to download pics from my desktop to both flash drives. Cheryl plugged in my old computer with the blue flash drive. There were in fact pics on the blue flash drive. Cheryl said, per Kenny he tried to download pics but the blue flash drive crashed, partial pics downloaded. No one called to explain this. Cheryl said part of Geek Squad Membership the agent installed an icon on my desktop for “Secure Remote Support Geek Squad access”. The agent never installed it on my computer. She said to bring my computer back to have the agent install it. Why should I have to come back again for Geek Squad’s error? They should send their agent out to do what should’ve been done to begin with. Cheryl said she would have to charge us the fee for them to come to my home. I bought some Beats headphone on 1/15/25 on line I received them on 1/16/25, once I got home from work, I put them to charge and then after I try to connect them to my iPhone and they don't want to connect, it keep saying "this beats aren't yours to continue to connect, hold for 5 sec" and nothing happens , so i decided to go to this best buy because it close where i live. So i get to the store they send me and my mom to customer services its around 8:45pm, i explain to this young guy my issue and he is very nice trying to help me. and tells me yeah something is wrong with these head phones they aren't connecting at all. so then a lady comes to the area and starts looking at the headphones with her phone flashlight and I'm trying to explain to her my issue and the receipt and she is just ignoring me and so then the guy who was helping me, tells her they don't work should I get her an exchange and she doesn't answer him neither. So he looks at me and tells me I'm going to get you the exchange okay. After he brings the exchange he tells the lady I need to get approval to do the exchange right ? they lady doesn't say nothing to me or the guy who was helping me and she just walks away and then another guy comes to the area and asks me what's wrong and the guy who was helping explains to him the issue. Then the guy looks at me ask me where did i buy those beats headphones and i told him online best buy website here is the receipt and i show him the receipt from my phone and asks me but what best buy online store ? I answer him the mission valley best buy store online. Then he goes then go to that store we can't help you and then I'm like why not ? because you bought online through that store. Read moreThis part of the Review is for directly towards Best Buy " Geek Squad ". Today which was Monday, March 4th of 2024 at around 10:20AM. I went to this store after hearing information regarding that Best Buy Geek Squad can perform Repairs and such for Gaming Consoles. I needed to have my Xbox Series X Game Console for the HDMI Port to be fixed or replace. But even with an appointment, They (It was Carlos I think his name was?) decline me and said that they don't do any repairs of Game Consoles. They only do Computers Repairs... And they then send me to a different store far away from Best Buy called: " Luna Video Games ". This is a Retro Store mostly for old video games and consoles. But umm. I share my review over there. One thing to note. Best Buy send me here to have Luna Video Game repair my Game Console and Luna Video Game in-store person told me that they don't do HDMI Port Repairs either... So disappointing waste of time. I dislike Best Buy Geek Squad and their services. I helped my mom canceled her Auto Renew Best Buy Total Subscription today.
Now this last part is for Best Buy itself. I would give about 4 Stars separately away from Geek Squad. Best Buy store is clean, Has a lot of In-store employees that are kind and does listen to you in Spanish or English. Do note that a lot of Items inside Best Buy are not cheap. But it probably means that Best Buy tries their best to get top quality Items. Me and my mom both have Credit Cards with Best Buy and we have no problem with Best Buy Store. I would recommend the Best Buy store to look and buy some good stuff like TVs, Audio Systems or similar. But remember, Stay away from Geek Squad.
