By phone, I scheduled hour-long facials for me and my best friend on our girl’s weekend. Upon arrival for our appointment, we learned that our reservation was changed without being contacted. Instead of having our facials together, at the same time, the employee modified it to be one after another. I was told I could wait in the lobby/waiting area or leave and come back. This 100% negates the effort of being able to spend time together (I’m from Nashville, her from Detroit, so we met in Cincinnati). Instead of offering solutions, the employee simply said “well, what do you want to do?” We settled for an express facial, which in my opinion was underwhelming and overpriced. $70 (after tip) for a 20ish minute facial that essentially was a cleanser and an SPF moisturizer is insane to me. What is most disappointing is that there was no communication from the employee saying our reservations needed to/were going...
Read moreI attended the Queen City Salon’s event; the “Sip ‘N Shop” this evening, and it was fabulous! I really enjoyed the free mini spa treatments that were offered. Erica provided a brow wax, and it was great; really gave my brows a nice shape and was practically pain-free, which is unusual with my sensitive skin. Jennie gave me a fantastic mini-facial, and it was so relaxing and gave my skin such a nice glow; my skin felt so soft afterwards! I also loved how she described what she was doing, and the recommendations that she gave me to keep my skin looking the best it can be. Both treatments were excellent, and the event was well-planned, with vendors and snacks! Definitely will go again, and...
Read moreI had a manicure here about a month ago, and the girl (not Amber!) used a drill type tool to remove my gel polish and buff my nails, and she clearly used one that was WAY too strong. She stripped down my nail so much and made it so thin. She realized it and changed it, but not before the damage was already done to these two nails. I don’t normally write reviews, but it seriously hurts and is taking a long time heal! (I think I just have to let it grow out, but in the meantime it hurts and I have to avoid manicures until it’s healed!) I wouldn’t want someone to have the experience, so make sure you see someone...
