INCREDIBLY disappointed. I booked the ultimate Japanese head spa experience for my sister for her birthday. Weâve been talking about giving this place a try and she was so excited. I had a call from my sister shortly after her appointment was supposed to start and she informed me that they couldnât do her service because she had hair extensions. In the note section of the my booking, I included a note that she may have hair extensions as I was not 100% sure she would or not, and didnât want to spoil the surprise by asking her. I assumed that since I didnât receive any sort of phone call or follow up in regards to my note about the potential for hair extensions, as well as it being her birthday, that she would be able to show up and receive the service I booked. My sister called me while still in the spa⌠if you can call it that, where the receptionist proceeded to read the notes I left in my booking FOR THE FIRST TIME. Both Beth and Annabel were extremely rude to my sister, offered no solution, no apology, and flat out said that it was my fault and that several times during the booking process there are notes that say that they will not performed services on anyone with hair extensions. I went back through the booking process while on the phone with my sister and did not once see any sort of notification or disclaimer that stated they would not do services on someone with extensions. When I said this, Beth said that I need to learn how to read. Yeah. I did find a place on the website where it states that they cannot perform services on anyone with extensions in the FAQs section⌠which is great, but once again there is NOTHING stating this while completing the actual booking. We are pretty reasonable and understanding people, and even though they should have called in regards to the note that I attached to the booking, this would have been no big deal if the staff werenât so nasty and demeaning. When my sister asked if she could still receive the facial part of the service or do a facial instead, their answer was âNO. Your scalp is part of your face.â As people who are fortunate to frequently receive spa services, I have never experienced such horrible customer service. I will be sure to tell everyone I know to avoid this place. As a business owner myself, Iâd be mortified to learn that my customers were treated this way. These employees need serious training in customer service and conflict resolution. I do want to give a shoutout to Bombshell Studio Salon in Union for saving the day and squeezing my sister in for a facial and blowout- oh and when I asked if there was an option for an add on scalp massage for someone with extensions, the answer was...
Read moreI would give zero stars if I could. Beth and Ana (receptionist and service provider on 8/19 at 12pm) are very condescending, rude and gave the worst attitude Iâve received at any spa ever. Iâve been to a LOT of spas and have never been treated so poorly. My sister booked my appointment as a birthday gift and put in the notes that I have hair extensions. When Beth started my service, she said she canât work with extensions and that itâs reiterated âat least 4 times during booking, including in the confirmation email.â I called my sister, who reviewed the email and booking page where it wasnât mentioned ONCE. She also refused to do the facial portion of my appointment, saying âbecause your face is a part of your hair.â Huh? It was so unbelievable that I thought my sister was playing a prank on me for a second.
Furthermore, the receptionist (I think her name is Anna but could be wrong) then looked at the booking notes- for the first time- to find that my sister did indeed mention that I have extensions. What is the purpose of allowing booking notes if your receptionist/staff wonât even read them? We should have received a phone call saying that they canât service me and I wouldnât have wasted my birthday afternoon driving 40 mins each way just to be belittled by spa staff. Beyond dropping the ball on her duties, the receptionist implied that itâs my sisterâs fault. Excuse me? Both of these workers were EXTREMELY condescending. Not once did they apologize, they blamed my sister for ânot readingâ, (yes, Beth said âyou need to learn to READ.â It was unbelievable.) even when we revisited the pages to see absolutely nothing regarding this policy. These girls need training in workplace conduct, customer care, conflict resolution and general KINDNESS. A simple apology and even a quick laugh for a mistake or misunderstanding would have resolved this. I will never support a company who allows employees to treat their clients this way, and I would immediately fire my own employees if they treated my clients like this. There are several other spas and salons that now offer this service, and my friends, family and I will be patronizing those companies instead of Omega, I recommend that you...
Read moreDisappointed is an understatement. I booked the appt several weeks in advance for a self-care day. Even spoke to someone who had been already, who told me what to expect. Even with that information, I was surprised by the ambiance (or lack thereof) & the process & experience, for the amount I paid ($240 with tip). This is a summary: ⌠You enter from the street directly into the room where people are receiving treatment. ⌠3 tables are in the same room together. I was told this but expected a more relaxing experience. Super awkward. ⌠Youâre told to go to the 1-person bathroom to change into a towel wrapped around your body then come back to the tables. ⌠Expectation: Maybe a separate treatment room and a locker room like a spa? ⌠Not relaxing because of the noises and people stomping by. My treatment was the last to conclude and so it sounded like someone was banging stuff around and cleaning up at the end. Not relaxing at all. ⌠The service itself is not what I expected. No fault of the professional who I did my service with. Seemed more like 60% of the time is spent with water going on your hair and only a small amount of time with actual massage of the scalp. The rest of the time seemed like someone just playing in your hair. Not the pressure or techniques I was expecting. ⌠The weight of my head against the platform with no pillow really hurt my head and made it painful. Not sure if it was the weight of my wet hair for 90 minutes or just the lack of comfort, in general. I found myself wishing the treatment was over numerous times which is not how anyone wants to spend a self-care day or $240. ⌠Super awkward at the end when your hair is dripping and you have to go back to the small bathroom to put your clothes on w wet hair. The combs etc are by the tables but awkward to stand there in a towel in front of everybody while ppl come in off the street. ⌠The facial was average. Iâve had better at Aveda salons. ⌠I will definitely never be back. I think lots of people will book out of curiosity but I think there wonât be many repeat customers if people are as disappointed as I am. I unfollowed on social media too. Itâs an experience I hope to...
