In September 2025, we tried to visit this site, including the grave of Canadian heroine Laura Secord. Unfortunately, and with all due respect to individuals experiencing homelessness or mental health challenges, the area appeared to be heavily affected by people visibly struggling with substance abuse. In our opinion, this made the environment feel unsafe. It only takes one person in crisis, armed with a knife, to ruin your day (or your life). As soon as we parked nearby, we decided not to go through with the visit. Stay safe out there. No pictures of this place were added out of respect for the privacy of those experiencing...
