The Devils Chair — Attraction in City of Saratoga Springs

Interesting that someone added this to Google Maps. I've added a couple photos. The Devil's Chair is located on the bluff above the Italian Gardens. The story is that it was to be the cornerstone of a church ... until the builders realized how close it was going to be to a devilish gambling establishment! There's a legend attached to the chair. If you sit in the chair after midnight, you'll be transported to 19'th century Saratoga! This bit of lore is probably based on the story from the book "Derby Girl" by Christine Montroy. There's a stone shaped like a chair in the southeast corner of Congress Park (above the Spit/Spat Fountain). It's supposedly the cornerstone for an Episcopal Church that was abandoned after plans were made to build a gambling casino nearby. 10/10 experience, would visit again at 3am in the morning on a frosty winter night or a burning summer day.
