I recently visited the Nordstrom Rack in White Plains, and I was extremely disappointed with the experience. I found a pair of pants that I liked, but upon closer inspection, I noticed they were missing a hook at the waist and had a loose string. I approached an associate to ask if they had any replacement hooks, and they said no. Understanding the situation, I decided to purchase the pants anyway and informed the cashier about the damage.
At first, the cashier rang up the pants without issue, despite my pointing out the damage. However, when I politely asked if a small discount could be applied due to the defect, her attitude completely changed. Suddenly, she decided they couldnāt sell me the pants at all. This was confusing because she was willing to sell the item to me before I requested the discount. When I asked why, the response was dismissive and rude.
When the supervisor came over, the situation only got worse. She spoke to me briefly, displayed a similar dismissive attitude, and then walked off without providing any resolution. As a business owner, I strive to ensure my employees treat customers with respect, and this encounter fell far below any standard of acceptable service.
To make matters worse, they seemed more willing to damage out the pants than sell them to me. After much back and forth, I practically had to beg to purchase the item, even making it clear I needed them for an event the next day. Eventually, they agreed to sell me the pants but insisted on marking the receipt as non-returnable. My question is: why have a damaged item on the sales floor if youāre unwilling to sell it to a customer?
This experience was truly disappointing and a clear example of poor...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have never had such a horrible experience in any other nordstrom rack store location until today. The cashier James was very rude and unprofessional the first issue was that the coat didnāt have any tags, so I had to wait for the manager/supervisor to come and find the price for the coat because he didnāt know how to look it up and he had the audacity to tell me to step aside and let him ring up someone else then they were finally able to get the price tag and then I asked him to enter my phone number and he was so upset about it then I asked for a bag which he didnāt provide me and I also asked him to remove the security tag since he didnāt seem to have seen it so I politely asked him, but he insisted that I pay first maybe he thought I was going to run out and steal it I guess, so I patiently agreed and paid for the coat and I picked up my coat and I started walking to the exit when all of a sudden the security alarm went off, so I had to go back to the cashier and tell him to remove the security tag from the coat for the second time I then asked him for a bag which he messily stuffed my newly purchased coat. I will surely never come back again to this location because the employees are very rude and...
