Clayton Jewelers — Attraction in Clayton

My now-fiancé and I could not be happier with her engagement ring, and we are so grateful for the excellent customer service and expert craftsmanship at Clayton Jewelers! We first met the team on a "trial run" in March 2022 when I brought my girlfriend in to gauge her interest in diamond shapes and ring designs. We spoke with Sara and Shannon, who were equally patient and knowledgeable and provided us with a wide assortment of options. Without my girlfriend knowing, I scheduled several follow-up appointments with them over the next 1-2 months to select a diamond and customize the engagement ring. I was not in any rush to make a decision, and I did not once feel pressured to make a purchase! Each appointment was educational, and I could genuinely tell they wanted me to find the perfect forever ring. They finally sold me when they allowed me to reserve my preferred diamond without a downpayment while I mulled over other options online. Ultimately, I determined their price was fair, if not better than competitors, and their quality and customer service were simply unmatched.

Due to my customizations, such as a hidden halo and eternity band, Sara sent me several CADs to review and make modifications until we created the perfect ring. I even came in for one final design inspection, and Steven verified the GIA certification and inscription on the diamond using their high-powered microscope. Once we finalized all of our options, they were kind enough to set up a payment plan for me to maximize building my credit card points and benefits.

My jaw dropped when I picked up the ring in early July, and it was everything and more than what I could have imagined. My fiancé cannot stop looking at her hand sparkle in the sunlight, and she has received so many positive comments from friends and strangers alike. Little background info about our rings!

When Jace and his son proposed to me at my parents house in front of my family, I was given Jace's mothers wedding ring. Her tiny little size 4 finger meant I could only wear it on my pinky! So we had to start the process of what we wanted/ could do with it in order to make it a stunning ring of my dreams.

Shannon has been a friend of mine since I was about 20. Everyone that knows her, or has ever seen her, knows that woman has an eye for not only fashion, but jewelry, accessories, and anything that has to do with ALL of that. Who else would I go to?! She knows me, my style, my personality... better than I do. She is perfect!

The ideas her and Steven came up with were constantly hitting the mark. The way they set my mother-in-laws diamonds into my ring to surround the most gorgeous and perfect opal they hand-picked for me STILL takes my breath away! I cried my eyes out when my husband surprised me and re-proposed with this one of a kind beauty.

On to Jace's ring. Shannon and Steven saved the BIGGEST diamond from his mother's ring to set into his wedding band. Not only did they create a stunning and perfect ring for the best man I know, but they connected our rings forever by using her diamonds in both rings. I've never seen so much thought and care put into jewelry for a man! To top this ALL off (I know, I know... HOW can these rings be ANY more perfect?!) They engraved the inside of BOTH rings with special lines from the both of us, to each other.

The inside of mine says "Come As You Are" (Nirvana is my favorite band, and that particular lyric/line holds special meaning to us) while the inside of Jace's says "Waste Away With Me" from the song Everlong, which not only is a very important song to us but also the song we walked down the isle to.

I looked at many different jewelers in the area when shopping for my fiancée's engagement ring and Clayton Jewelers was by far the most helpful and responsive. Purchasing any kind of fine jewelry was a new and intimidating process to me but one that I wanted to get exactly right for this ring. It made me both a very uncertain and very picky customer, but Sara and Steven were so incredibly patient and helpful that I felt much much more comfortable and confident working with them than with anyone else I had tried shopping with. This really made a difference, and resulted in a very unique custom ring that my fiancée and I could not be more happy with.

For the primary stone, Sara was able to find a terrific variety that I was interested in so that I could really discover what I liked the most. That ended up being a very particular lavender colored sapphire and Sara not only understood what I was looking for better than anyone at the other jewelers, but she was also the only one who was able to find what I wanted.

For the rest of the design, I was even more unsure of myself, but I did have a few ideas. Steven took extra time out of his schedule to help me work through a couple of different designs, work up an extra CAD model that I didn’t even end up needing, and provide extremely helpful feedback that gave me the confidence to make a decision. He did not need to do this, but he did.

Throughout this whole process, Sara was communicative, informative, transparent and very responsive to all of my questions and requests. Unlike at numerous other jewelers, I never once felt like I was being pressured, rushed or upsold. The goal was to figure out exactly what I wanted and to make that happen.
