I am a former resident of Clayton on the park (COTP). I'd like to share with you my awful experience living in this apartment. Before that, I want to emphasize that the monthly rent of this unit is $2200.
·Unresponsible actions: The maintenance team does not always perform their responsibility. Once when I was cooking, the stove suddenly broke by itself, and a long crack appeared on its surface. I requested maintenance twice to fix it. The first time the maintenance staff came and inspected the stove for a few seconds, and told me that he would try to find a solution. After no such solution was provided for 2 weeks, I was worried and sent a maintenance request again. This time another maintenance staff told me it's ok to continue using and left me struggling to use this dangerous, broken stove for more than one month until I moved out. However, after I moved out, the leasing office immediately replaced the stove and charged me $870 with a rude attitude. It's even more acceptable even if they replaced it right after the incident happened and asked me to pay $870. Because at least I could have a good stove to use.
·Maintenance issue: There are many more issues that the maintenance team can't resolve. For example, my bathroom had a severe floor seepage issue, which they took one month trying to fix it. But obviously, they didn't make it, and I had to continuously suffer bathroom chaos, with many puddles on the floor. The curtain problem can't be fixed either, you can't roll up the curtain entirely since you will not be able to pull it down again. The maintenance said 'it's an old issue, with no attempt to help me solve it. Besides, the closet door was already broken when I moved in.
·Air conditioner: The air conditioner is making huge noises all the time. It makes residents hard to fall asleep at night.
·Concierge service: The service quality of the front desk sucks. I have to say there were some great concierges' staffs before. But they left this property one by one, and you will see the newcomers often, which caused the service to become really bad. More specifically, they even don't know how to use the printers or shut down the rooftop sound.
·Delivery problem: The package locker doesn't work correctly. You cannot send any package using the locker if you want to return items. The only choice is to give your outgoing package to the front desk and let them send it for you. Unfortunately, as I mentioned above, they are untrained, and as a result, they lost two packages of mine. The total value of these two is over $400 since one of them is a robot vacuum.
·View: Half of the units face an unoccupied building and a parking lot. At the same price, you can easily find other apartments with better views in Clayton.
Overall, Clayton is absolutely a beautiful and safe place to live in. There are many other luxury apartments you can choose from other than COTP. I have persuaded two of my friends not to rent COTP but other apartments in Clayton. I sincerely hope you guys can make a wise...

Read moreReasons not to move here: Unauthentic reviews: Some of the recent positive Google Reviews are from CoTP staff (Carlitos, Penny, Gerald, Kim, Maria). Parking Issues: Parking deck throughways and spaces are ridiculously small. If you tour the property, don’t park in the front; park in the deck so that you can experience it before signing a lease. Building not secure: Over the Summer, almost every single entrance has been compromised at least once. Of particular concern are the loading dock doors, second floor entrance, and east stairwell. Someone could gain direct access to the residential floors. Water damage: I had 3 water issues including damage that required professional water restoration services. Lots of Interruptions: There are units on the 3rd, 10th, and I think one other floor that house water valve shut-offs for other units. So, if you happen to be in one of those units, you’ll be interrupted frequently with little to no warning. More interruptions: Once a month expect a temporary water shut-off, or the elevators to be down, or the fire alarm to sound because the range hoods are too cheap. Inconvenient Rules: Food can’t be delivered directly to your door, you have to go all the way downstairs and collect it at the front desk. But, sometimes there’s no one at the front desk to open the door and your food deliveries are placed on the ground outside. Unskilled Staff: Some of the staff are amazing (particularly Gerald), but CoTP supplements the front desk staff with these random, unskilled, temp security people that are more...
