On February 6th, 2021, my partner and I visited this Macy's location looking for white dress shirts at about 1045AM. We located the mens department, and after about five minutes we were approached by a woman named Caroline, mid to late 60s, APAC origin, black hair, 5' 2', 115 lbs, was wearing a orange dress, and asked if we needed assistance. My partner and.I have both recently lost a weight and we were unsure of our new sizes, and this was very crucial because we are getting married next Saturday and we had not found shirts yet. She was friendly and measured us both and suggested our sizes and fits. We had finally found what appeared to be the exact same white dress shirt, in two different fits, that we could both wear on our wedding day. We picked her size suggestions, she helped to get the shirts un-done and we tried them on. We both felt as if the shirts were just a tad bit too large still, and we both wanted a size down. Caroline was busy assisting other customers, and we proceeded to go get our new sizes. You were out of stock on my size, so we tried another brand, in the smaller sizes. Those shirts were now a bit too small, so my partner and I both agreed that we would just the get original size in the 1st shirt. My partner was out first and proceeded to only want to grab the new shirt, no try on necessary. I come out and I find Caroline and partner at the table and they appear to be chatting loudly. Caroline came over to my partner after he was out of the fitting room and saw him trying to locate the shirt. She said out of no where, "No No No No, we do not try on five shirts here!". My partner then tries to clarify what she means. She then says "You have tried on both fits, and you know how they are. You are not trying on another." My partner, with the most shocked eyes ever, then looks at me and then back to her and just says "OK." I place my stuff down right there and we began to leave the store. I saw her helping more than a few customers and she appeared friendly to all, including us at first. My partner and I also just lost a lot of weight and we were attempting to find the best possible fitting shirts for our wedding day. She made us feel body shamed, and discriminated against. We were in such shock walking out that we did not even feel any emotion but sadness. My partner and I wanted to find a manager when we were almost out of the store, but we were ashamed of the entire situation and just left knowing that Caroline's hate-filled motives are exposed to the pubic and those morals do not align with Macy's...
Read moreHad a gift from a family member who brought me two pairs of jeans. They were very expensive jeans unfortunately she gave them to me as a gift and was not able to give me the receipt. When I noticed the size of the jeans they were very large for me so I put them in my trunk in the bag and waited for a while to see if my cousin could send me a copy of the receipt. She could not she works all over the world and with her job it's very hard to get a hold of her. So I brought the jeans back to Macy's and ask them if I could please just exchange them for the correct size. They have not been worn and really didn't think there would be much of a problem. They were very very nasty to me especially the manager I do have her have a picture of her and my jeans. I really hope someone from Macy's would reach out to me so I could give them the information and they could investigate this a little bit more. I understand there wasn't a receipt but at the same time I know she spent a lot of money on these jeans they were buffalo jeans which I know are expensive. I would have been okay even if they said we could just give me one pair of jeans because they might have been on sale or something like that but they were just straight up nasty to me. I've been going to this Macy's since I was a kid I've bought so much stuff from there over the last 35 years it's just really frustrating to be treated like that. I remember when customer service was a top priority for high end stores and just any business in the service industry. It seems like now nobody cares. I sure hope somebody from Macy's will reach out to me after they read this review. If they do and they are willing to try to do something that would be fair I will be more than happy to change my rating and give them a positive review. I just wish it didn't have to come to this. I would have much rather been giving a real good review right now about how they really treated me right and made me comfortable . They could have just exchanged a pair of jeans That's it It was so simple. Also I just left the two pairs of jeans with them because I had no use for them , I could not wear them so why bring them home. They have their jeans back and I have nothing. Please someone from Macy's please...
Read moreWhat should have been a 3 minute trip turned into 32 minutes, while my family waited in the car. 32 minutes. 32 minutes to buy 1 bottle of cologne. I knew exactly what I wanted, even parked at the closest entrance to the men's fragrance counter. Stood there for a while, there wasn't anyone near by. I start walking through the store looking for an employee, I didn't find any close. I called them on the phone, told the operator I'd like someone to get me a bottle of cologne. A few minutes later, a girl shows up. She was trying to be helpful, but didn't have keys to the cases. So, she goes on a hunt for keys. I'm like 20 minutes into this adventure at this point. She comes back, no keys. She says they carry it upstairs as well, and to follow her. We're walking in circles looking for it, as well as noticing several female employees around the jewelry and makeup areas hanging out with each other. So these ladies can't help either, and there's another associate with customers looking for a cologne as well. I tell the girl screw this, I'm going to walk to the other department store because I'm tired of their run around. At this time, a girl appears, and she went to a counter and finally got what I came for. 32 minutes later. Finally, on my way out of the store, I called to speak to a manager, as I was pretty upset about this nonsense. I told the cranky phone operator I wanted to talk to a manager. I let her know why, and she hung up on me. Did she think I was joking? I had just walked out of the door at this point. I called again, and was quite heated. I told her to put me on the phone with the manager or I was walking back in to punch her in the face. And she hung up. So im walking in the store now looking for a person to get me a manager. So I call again, finally she put me through to Marlene. She was apologetic about it, and seemed to agree it was unnecessary to go through all that for a single item. She said someone called in sick. Well....in my opinion, if you have 2 or 3 girls working one counter, and zero working another...well.... I'd probably move one. Anyhow, screw this store, and the phone...
