This is a great place to go in Cleveland. This is a historic coast guard station that has been converted into a sailing club. It has very nice sailboats, but the building unfortunately doesn't have any water or electricity. This means that you have to use a porta potty if you go to the bathroom. Read moreThe Historic Cleveland Coast Guard station is well worth the walk to get here! Great views of downtown Cleveland and the mouth of the Cuyahoga River. There is no water or electricity... so plan ahead. The building was fenced off and in disrepair for many years. Thankfully it has been restored and is used for a sailing club. There are no picnic tables or places to sit. But you probably will not spend a lot of time. We have never been to Whiskey Island. Will come back soon when the bike path bridge...
