I have never had such a horrible experience with the management of any gym (and I have been a member of numerous gyms in multiple cities in several states in the US). The manager Deborah is highly incompetent, unprofessional, irresponsible and deceiving! My wife and I joined the gym at he beginning of 2020. We signed up with their highest package (which was back then around $70+ per month). After a few months we realized that we were not using any extra benefits from that membership plan. So, we asked to downgrade the membership to the basic plan. And here all the fun began. After asking to downgrade the membership via the email, Deborah, the manager, said we need to physically go to gym and ask for it (which is a typical tactic of most of the gyms to try and reduce downgrades/cancellations). We did exactly that. Bot myself and my wife went to gym and asked face-to-face from one of the employees to downgrade our memberships. The employee said the request was received and our memberships would be downgraded in a few days. The next billing cycle we were charged the same amount. When questioning the same employee on another day why our membership wasn't downgraded, he said it was downgraded already. Come next billing cycle and the charge stayed the same! Mind you, this was going for a few months back and forth where at some point Deborah, the manager, stopped replying to my emails. After about a month I finally received a reply from her where she rudely said some nonsense and tried to blame me on everything. Long story short, after numerous attempts of asking them via email and in person, they finally down graded our memberships. When asked to refund us the difference for all the months we were paying them, we received no response and Deborah stopped completely replying to my emails. Honestly, I'm shocked about such conduct from the management of the gym that tries to position itself as NOT a cheap gym. I did face certain deceiving techniques from other gyms in my lifetime but have never seen anything like this! The owner of Browns Fit should be more involved with the way his/her employees (in management positions especially)...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWOW! Best gym in Cleveland hands down! Weāve been searching for a higher end gym, just recently attended that athletic club gym in Tremont. This gym blows it out of the water in EVERY SINGLE way! Iām going to list some comparisons between Browns Fit and another comparable local gym, just to show how superior this place truly is.
THE PRICE! With a gym that offers more than any other gym in terms of features, a Hydro, massage table, spray tan, almost every weight and machine imaginable , a shake shop that offers a wide variety of meal replacement and recovery shakes, sauna, oxygen recovery, premade meals and protein bars. Etc etc. This Cost me under $80 a month, the other comparable gyms are more expensive with way less to offer.
The views inside the gym are of the Flats, browns stadium, the Lake! Certainly beats the view of other local gyms like TAC that have views of literal granite and piles of rock, pretty depressing in comparison.
Also, there werenāt any people pushing political agendas inside of the lobby while I was trying to lift, certainly an improvement because I donāt really like to get political while Iām trying to focus on my fitness. Iām not sure if this is normal at luxury gyms, just a side-by-side comparison with the two I have attended.
Month to month with absolutely no long term or multi month commitment. You just donāt find this very often at luxury gyms, canāt say enough good things about this place!
Overall, Iām sure there are many many more reasons why to choose this as your gym if you live in Cleveland, but to me, it is OBJECTIVELY the best gym...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love Browns Fit and I was looking forward to being a part of the community until I realized how disrespectful the front desk was. I showed up and brought my new to the area roommate to enroll in the āSpring Hustle Brings Summer Muscleā promotion which states āGet a 30-day all-access pass for you and a friend free!ā. I know Iāve taken advantage of a promotion like this before so I asked if I could do it again and was told I could. Great, so I show up the following day and was very kurtly informed I could not do the 30 day promotion, I really wasnāt trying to make the front desk associate any more peeved at me so I was apologetic and said Iād leave. The advert still says that people with 30 day promotions could bring a friend, so as a friend of my roommate, I came the next day with my roommate as her friend. I was even more rudely informed that I could not be there, even as I tried to explain the misunderstanding. The front desk associate then proceeded to confront my roommate about my presence at the gym, and refused to approach me. I made eye contact with her a few times as she sneered at me for the entire 45 minutes I was there. This was really uncomfortable and by far the rudest Iāve ever been treated. No where in the small print of the promotion does it address that the āfriendā of the person exercising the promotion has to have never used a promotion before. I would appreciate if Browns Fit trained itās employees to understand the promotions itās running and didnāt treat...
