Learn moreI was excited to come here and try a flight of the different meads.. however I think the ambiance of the place and the owner made the experience less than enjoyable. First, we were greeted and handed some menus, we sat at a table near the bar. The owner was in deep conversation with the people sitting up there and took a while to come explain the menu/get our orders. After taking our orders, he did not check on us once. But proceeded to come and help the table next to us multiple times (even though they arrived about 20 minutes after us). We intended on getting a small bite with our mead but that wasn’t possible due to the owner not coming to check on us once. Due to his lack of acknowledgment, we had to ask him how we could go about checking out. He was overall very rude and inattentive, all the colleagues I recommended will now be told to go elsewhere. Hope he learns a thing or two about customer service and making his business inviting towards minorities. Didn’t even feel bad not tipping just due to how horrible the experience was. Please consider going elsewhere if you’d like to have an inclusive and...
Read moreA friend recommended Antelope Ridge Mead. It's a few doors down from my chiropractor and is open on Friday - Sunday.
I met Dan while I was advertising the Humane Society's Pawtoberfest and to pick up a donation for the Humane Society's Fur Ball. Thank you for supporting the animals!
I visited to have some mead and was quite happy that the menu has a quick note on the sweetness of the drink which helped me to choose my flight. I thought the PB&J was quite fun, because you can really smell the peanut butter! I think my favorite was French Blue or BBA Solstice.
I invited some friends from work and they also enjoyed their drinks, unanimously voting the BBA Solstice as their favorite drink.
There isn't food available in the meadery, BUT that means that you can bring in your own food to enjoy with your mead including a friendly food truck and nearby restaurants.
There is a Pokemon Go Pokestop accessible from...
Read moreI was visiting friends who are a recent addition to Colorado Springs and wanted to try out a few breweries while in town. On my final evening visiting prior to returning home, we made the decision to check out Antelope Ridge Mead after a nice hike in Garden of the Gods. We arrived just prior to closing and instead of the expected, “we are closing soon” we were instead greeted warmly with a huge smile by Dan behind the bar. Thus ensued almost an hour of tasting some of the finest meads I have had the pleasure of experiencing. After some fantastic conversation and even better libations, I faced the hardest decision of my trip… which flavor to take home! All of this said, if you enjoy an amazing mead or cider (check out their Session selection) you owe it to yourself to swing in for a visit! 10/10 will visit again as soon as I land in CO for my...
