Since the owner likes changing their reply after 3 months (?) of this review, going to post what they said in the photos. There are tons of better card shops that wont go through your profile to find out information about you to share, belittle you, condescend you. There is a reason this store is no longer in the Colorado Springs Commander Club Facebook group and had to make their own.
Rather disappointed today going into Enchanted Realms.
When you advertise on your website saying we could take the prerelease kit home, yet when we get to the store we can't actually because of limited supply makes both myself and my husband, who would frequent the store rather upset as he was excited taking his first prerelease kit.
Staff were rather unfriendly, didn't offer any solutions besides "we can pick up Sunday and hope they have the stock still or wait for the manager to come in from the car for a refund." Eventually got the refund from staff, so it seems like unless the owner is in you're not getting the best service.
EDIT 1: We purchased the kits online so it wasn't a matter of putting our name down and hoping for a kit. We paid money for the kit and walked out frustrated and disappointed at this whole experience.
EDIT 2: I'm glad to hear two people who PCSed in were able to get our decks.
We had a family emergency that required us to be out of state and unable to pick up our decks, so we could not pick up on the Sunday, but I should have not needed to tell you that.
I have personally done many a prerelease as I used to work at a game store, however my husband only has done Commander. He has played for a few years at this point yes, but he has never done draft, standard, sealed, anything of the sort. Calling us scalpers because we wanted to pick up our product when it would be available is wild.
If you want to continue this conversation I am willing to do so over email.
LAST EDIT: My husband retired from the US Army last year, I am the Canadian in the relationship. With him being retired, we would not get the Red Cross that the Army would allow us to have. He loved coming to your store to support local veterans, but is extremely upset by this situation and how you are handling things.
Implying I am racist due to how I am sharing my experience is rather low. Saying how it's crazy that I never brought him to a prerelease? We were long distance for many years, and he did not get into MTG until he was deployed and started picking up EDH from his fellow buds.
I hope you have the day...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I had an option to leave less than 1 star, I would. I walk into the store to meet up with a buddy. This is my 2nd time in this store since it moved locations. I don't go to lgs super often and when I do, it is normally Vans. I buy a lot of sealed product and use TCG player to recoup from what I don't use. I rarely trade, and when I do it is never outside my house. Today I spent 6 hours prepping to go to this store and play with a friend. I am just minding my business checking out the singles when the owner, Lenny asks me what I want to see. I ask about a couple singles and I was thinking about it, it is hard to spend money all the time when you have kids. I started to breakout my kit to do some changes on my deck to see if i really wanted the cards. He then asks me if I need to trade anything to make the prices easier. He explains that he takes a percent off TCG for the trade-ins, which is to be expected. I explain that I am a TCG seller myself and that doesn't normally work to my advantage, but I hand him my book of rares from prereleases and Modern Horizons. He stares at it and doesn't take it from me in a rude way and asks me if I do predatory trading in that store. I explained that I am a straight trader and have no interest in taking advantage of people anywhere. He starts to say I'm getting a little defensive, and rightfully so after being called a predator.....not a great way to get to know your new customers :( So I let him know that I will take my business elsewhere. This is where it got real weird. He at first acted like he didn't want me to go and then when I said I'm good, he demanded I leave. He got in my face and I told him if he wants to be loud, i will be just as loud right back. I called him a loser and he proceeded to say to the whole store that he was taking his shirt off not to get blood on it as he was about to talk to me on his car hood. I then turned around to take his video as I was sure he was about to swing on me. Sure enough, when I turned around to let him know I was filming, his shirt was already coming off. As soon as he saw the camera, he changed his tune. By the way I am a vet and I was wearing my bag with my nameplate on it... If toxic masculinity is not your thing and you don't want to be bullied, go to Vans. He didn't remember me at first but Lenny and I have met before, and he was a ball of aggression then as well. It is a shame what the place has become, Brian was such a good owner and a great...

First and foremost I love the feel/vibe of the store. I feel that a lot of that comes from the other players, there willingness to get "pods"/games I'm with complete strangers and allowing people to feel welcome. I have even brought my 11 yr old with me, and the staff and other patrons have shown him respect and kindness. Even allowing us, or just him, to get a game in. I personally believe that this comes from the staff, owners and the store itself.
This comes from the fact that the staff either take the time to teach a tutorial game to people who are interested, or if they (the staff) are busy will find a willing regular to teach the game in question that you want to learn.
My only criticism comes from the store location, visibility and other "smaller" items, that I feel will come from time and money. The reason for this is because this store just relocated from further down Academy.
As of writing this, it still looks like an abandoned Chinese restaurant from the outside, no lighted sign, very few exterior lights, a couple of pot holes in the parking lot. Initially when they first moved in there was no sign in the front of the store, now their is a "food truck" in the front with a sign announcing the store is there, but it is impossible to see while driving down either side of academy until you are right on top of it. Even with these issues, don't let that scare you away, for the owner has stated on multiple occasions to the entire store, that of you want an escort out to your car, one will be given.
I feel that the bathrooms could use some TLC, mainly in the form of adding in a changing table. I know this is not something not everyone thinks about, but I have gone in with my 1yr old (yes, I have an 11yr old and a 1yr old) and didn't really have a place to change him. Of course i figured it out, but it would be nice to have a private option. Also, on game nights I have noticed other bring theor "little ones" in.
The last thing I will say is that I love the vibe of the store. It feels like an older local game store, you will see people open carry at this location, and I love that. I feel that as time progresses and they are able to invest more into their location, it will...
