House of Color Co. — Attraction in Colorado Springs

I am beyond sad and disappointed to say the least on my service with Sami S. I feel I was truly milked out of over 800.00 dollars for my hair transformation or lack there of. I went in with a specific idea photo in hand that I was told was absolutely achievable. With her credibility I felt assured I was in good hands. After the first two visits I started to feel like something was strange. Her balayage appointments stated they took around 3 hours. My appointments didn’t even push and hour and a half at best. Once I was home a little after an hour. Each time leaving paying close to 200.00 dollars and very little to no change. I kept being told one more visit and I’ll have you there to just be let down and told again one more. After 4 visits and still nothing even close to what I asked for my husband finally said “babe I know you can’t see the back of your head but it’s really nothing like the picture at all” he explained further so I started doing research and reaching out for help. I came across a hair stylist that is consistently fixing my same problem from this salon. Not only is her price up front and better 400-600 max and wait for it…it’s GUARANTEED…You don’t just keep paying for someone money making agenda. I feel so sad due to issues with her schedule and her consistently cancelling and changing my appointments last minute. I was so understanding and flexible even when I had to make arrangements to be able to go. In summery I feel taken advantage of and would not recommend her to others. I guess sometimes we have to learn the hard way mine being over 800.00...

I absolutely adore this place. I am recovering from multiple bad stylists. Ive been hurt. I have been burned.... literally and I have been sent out with my hair sopping wet and bleached beyond repair. When I was recommended to try House of Color I was very nervous to try again. My hair is my hair girls you know we don't like our hair messed with period let alone permanently. But I called and spoke with someone who I believe was the owner on the phone and she was the most patient understand and sympathetic person I've ever talked to. I booked an appointment and came into a really special occasion. Not only did I get my hair done but they were doing botox blowouts and bubbles. There were amazing little vendors setting up and getting their shops open and selling hand made jewelry, titaniums, photography and there were good trucks. So while I got my hair processed I was able to make some purchases and donate to a few worthy causes. The girl who did my hair is Lex she did amazing. The color consultation was what won me over she took time to understand and change the shading to get exactly what I wanted and needed. She trimmed off just the dead ends and saved the length of my hair. Everyone at this salon made me feel like family I almost want to quit my job and go to school yo be a hair stylist this was literally the best experience I have ever had at a hair salon and I will only be coming here from now on. And now they want to back paddle. OH, we weren't going to charge you, exactly because I put a fraudulent alert on my account. No a 50% no show fee isn't typical for Colorado Springs. Shop around, I did a found a salon in business 25 years that doesn't assess any charge until two appointments have been missed. I stand firmly with my initial review! You don't penalize people for a medical emergency! Threatening me that you were going to do just that is messed up!

DO NOT BOOK WITH JORDANA! My initial appointment was for a hair color consultation. I arrived early & was greated by 3 separate people who assured me they would let Jordana know I was there. I sat for 45 minutes until finally getting frustrated & finding someone. They got Jordana and she apologized profusely saying that no one had told her I was there. I figured that was that & scheduled an appointment. Then I get home & find out I had been charged a no show fee! I had planned on addressing that at our appointment, but unfortunately my mother in law suffered a stroke. I messaged Jordana at 3am to let her know I wouldn't be able to make my 1pm appointment. Her response was sorry but I have a 48 hour cancelation fee. Seriously? How exactly are you supposed to plan for an emergency 48 hours in advance? I could see if something had just come up, but tat was not the case. My advice, stay away! There are plenty of great stylists here in the Springs without...
