Affordable Used Appliances — Local services in Colorado Springs

My experience here was laughably bad. TLDR; They sold us 3 broken washing machines and it took us several weeks of phone calls to finally get a refund.

The first machine was an Amana that had an issue with the temperature sensor, so we exchanged it for an “upgrade”, a Samsung with a mold problem. After that, we decided to just buy a new machine from them instead. When I asked our salesperson, Chris, if he could cut us a deal to make up for our experience so far, he tried to convince me that I was actually saving money on a new machine because the money we had already spent on the two broken ones would be going towards the new one. Lmao, nice try Chris. Despite this sketchy sales tactic, I ended up trying to buy a new GE, which (of course) they switched out for a lower-end Hotpoint last minute because our original pick had somehow disappeared from the warehouse. After a day or two of using the Hotpoint, I noticed a large crack in the plastic of the drum. It was also horribly unbalanced and banged around our laundry room, which might just have been a "feature" of this model (HTW240ASKWS), based on its other reviews. So at this point, we decided we were done giving them our business and returned the machine. We were hoping we'd never have to hear the words "Affordable Used Appliances" again, but unfortunately, trying to get a refund for the Hotpoint was like pulling teeth. I called them four times over the course of about a month, and at first they seemed to think they'd somehow only refunded part of the ticket, so they refunded the rest. But when I checked my credit card history a week later, I could only find the second half of the refund. I called them again, and they seemed confused and said they'd check with their accountant. Good products, great people, terrible delivery.

Bought a used fridge from these folks. The sales team was friendly and knowledgeable and they had a decent range of products in good price ranges. We paid extra for Saturday delivery and installation. However, come delivery day there was an issue with installation and haul away of our old fridge. It took several tries to get someone from the store to call us back - the phone nearly always goes to voicemail. Eventually we spoke to the manager who was very kind and rescheduled the installation and haul away. We spoke a few times and confirmed the new date on multiple occasions. On the new day we cleared our schedules, made sure the water was off, and waited. And waited. The haul away/installation team never showed and we’ve heard nothing from the store despite leaving voicemails while the store was open. I have been shopping at this store for years now for appliances and parts whether it was for myself family or friends! So when the Dishwasher quit working I knew where to go. After evaluating that the replacement part would be more than the price of a Dishwasher the store had in inventory the choice was easy and thanks to store manager Teylor Voss-Parris! We now have an excellent affordable used dishwasher up and running washing dishes in less than a day!
