Ash Street Place Apartments — Attraction in Columbia

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! We have been living here for 2 years.. when we first moved in we had a balcony but like 3-4 months after being there they took our balcony down to “renovate it” but still today we don’t have our balcony! Everytime I go to the office about it I get “idk” or any other excuse.. I seen the other day walking that they tore some more balconies down at the 111B building but why not finish ours before you go and start tearing down some more 🙄 then another problem is the pool is still not open and it’s been scorching hot outside.. some of us would like to go and enjoy our pool but again everytime it’s an excuse! How is it that the other apartment pools are open but ours!! There’s no reason whatsoever! And I’ve been going down there recently about my garbage disposal that’s currently broken and my dishwasher has been broken since I moved here and I still haven’t got them fixed and it’s been months!! The management ladies at ash Street are scandalous. I seen them do scandalous things to people. They are lazy only time you will see them out of the office is to go the gas station. They be in office all day and still ignore the residents. They won’t answer the phones. I really feel like they have a problem with people they feel they are below them. They pick and choose who the implement the rules on. Chris and the old gentleman was way better then the old ladies are in the office. My apartment was infested and I was very clean person. It took them three weeks to come spray my apartment and never came back after. Whatever pest company the use don’t work. The lie about having security there. Homeless people onto the property and doe’s stupid things and management does nothing. They have signs on the doors saying they have a security company but they don’t. It would be a lot of headaches living there don’t waste your time or money living there. Those ladies would smile in your face then screw you over any...

Wasn't allowed to tour any of the units before signing a lease, which should've been my first red flag. Unit had noticable water damage from the time I moved in, which the office was aware of. During the 3 months I lived there the water damage only grew worse and spread throughout the rest of the unit. Furthermore, the area gets sketchy at night time and before I had left some cars had been broken into. The management staff was however pleasent to work with and would send plumbers out to the unit everytime I brought up that the problem/mold was never actually fixed or addressed, and agreed to let me break my lease significantly early.
