Tried to unalive myself in June while under a lot of stress. Ended up at Grant Medical Center. Was interviewed and they asked if I had ever been SA in which I said yes. Was stripped down and my gown was placed on backwards exposing myself while male protective service officers stared at me for 6 hours and couldn't help myself after consuming a large amount of benzos. I repeatedly asked to use the phone to contact my new employer and they did nothing to help. Told the officers they were making me uncomfortable, asked to be moved to a diff room with no support from care team. Eventually they got sick of me repeatedly asking to use the phone while they showed no real attempt to deescalate my concerns and after they brought me a tv remote to suffice my request for a phone, I threw it on the floor and the charge nurse came in and told me that "she had 4 actual emergency pts there that i was taking her away from and that i was getting sedated. The officers came in and help me down without me restraining and She proceeded to sedate me without sterilizing me or bandaging me. I woke with these bruises. Those thumprints are from the MALE officers who never should have touched me, let alone have the ability to see me naked. I put in a grievance, asked for the care team to be trained on trauma informed care, de-escalation and crisis intervention as well as wipe my bill. I work for a hospital myself and know wrong from right. It took 2 months to even get this escalated to the risk team in which they showed ZERO empathy and did not call me back until a month later when i said I was going public. When i asked for the cameras to be reviewed they said i would have to obtain a subpoena. When they finally called back today 3 months after escalating the incident, they told me to do whatever i feel i have to do and told me they would not be wiping the bill. They also stated their staff had previously already been trained on trauma informed care. Do better grant. This is disgusting. I will be retaining a lawyer.

1/5 Stars - Dangerous Neglect by Charge Nurse Shadia W at Grant Medical Center I was admitted to Grant Medical Center on September 10-11, 2025, for multifocal pneumonia—a severe condition that left me struggling to breathe. Through the OhioHealth MyChart portal, I confirmed the identity of Charge Nurse Shadia W, who was assigned to my care. Right from her first entry into my room, I urgently told her I couldn’t tolerate her presence because of the overpowering scent of her body spray or soap, which was making my breathing even worse. I begged her repeatedly not to return, as it was directly worsening my respiratory distress and putting my health at serious risk. At that moment, I was clearly experiencing functional impairment as defined under Ohio Revised Code § 2903.13. Despite my clear and desperate pleas, Nurse Shadia W ignored me completely and came back into my room multiple times, each visit against my explicit wishes and further aggravating my condition. Every single time, I pleaded with her to stay out, but she persisted without regard for my safety. This willful disregard for my medical needs and explicit requests feels like assault under Ohio Revised Code § 2903.13. She knowingly exposed me to harm, creating serious physical risk and escalating my impairment. As a patient under her care—legally a “person with a functional impairment”—her actions could even qualify as felony assault by a caretaker under § 2903.13(C)(2). This wasn’t just unprofessional; it was dangerous and potentially criminal. Hospitals like Grant Medical Center should prioritize patient safety over convenience. I urge anyone considering care here to think twice—especially if you have respiratory issues. A formal investigation is absolutely needed into this nurse’s conduct.

Please do not go here if you have an emergency or are in severe pain. They like to play a game of sending you to the clinic, then the clinic sends you back. For your pain? They will lie to you and try to sneak you anti depressants or an ibuprofen shot and literally do nothing else. I was treated subhuman, like a street junkie. I've never been so humiliated in my life and was told to leave because I became angry when they tried to trick me. I had to look up on my online webMD PDR to see what they gave me and she blew a stack. It was "Honey, that's just a dotcom". You can shove your sarcastic Honey and at least my PDR told me the truth. The literature says it can be helpful with chronic pain if used long term, never start and stop this medication suddenly as it causes severe side effects. So, having me take it for 2 days and stop would have made me worse than I am. I am filing a grievance, but first, I want everyone to know just how horrible you treated me. Shame on all of you, I even had to beg for ice and all I was given was a pathetic warm felt bag I could feel lumps in it but it never got cold. After prying my jaw open my pain became so severe I was nearly blind with pain, and these people acted like it gave them an opportunity to practice being cruel. I will spread this far and wide. You were wrong for that. Update: After receiving adequate care I found I had a severe problem with an abscess in my jaw, maybe if Grant had done an exray or acted like they were human they would have found that - instead I could have died. I ought to sue you - you could have killed me. You sent my friend home with a "cold" and he went straight to Mt Carmel East with a heart attack you missed because you treated him like dirt. Grant has really gone down and the people are horrible. Just wicked animals who don't care...
