I have never been treated as poorly as I was today. I scheduled my first ever appointment with this salon for 4:30 today. I work downtown and left for the salon at 4:19. I realized quickly that traffic was slower than normal so I called the salon to make them aware I would be a few minutes late. The girl that answered how late and I said probably 7 or 8 minutes. She seemed annoyed and said we will see you soon. I rushed to the salon and walked in at 4:39 and I knew that due to my GPS that was still on when I walked in. The young man at the front desk greated me and I apologized for being a few minutes late and let him know there was a minor accident and traffic was slower than normal. He excused himself and said he would be right back. I took my suit jacket off and started to sit down when he came back and said they would not be able to help me today. At this point it was 4:41 and he said they had a 10 minute rule for appointments and that I could come back some other time. Upset I delicined and decided to leave. Upset with the scenario I walked to my car and decided I wanted to make the owner aware of my horrible experience. I called the salon while in my car and was immediately put on hold. I waited 7 minutes on hold until I realized they were never going on pick the phone back up. I walked back to the salon with my phone in hand and asked the two associates at the counter why I was still on hold. They apologized and then I demanded the name and phone number of the owner. Finally I got a generic email for the salon and the owners name. I would recommend not going to this salon due to the attitude of its employees. I usually experience much better service as a Clintonville resident at local...
Read moreI have been coming here for a few years now and have never had a bad experience until today. I went to get an eyebrow wax with an assistant that looked brand new. We looked at what needed to be waxed first. I noticed she did more plucking than waxing and thought that to be strange and she was done in about 3-5 minutes. I have fairly thick and dark eye brows so I was surprised because I have also not gotten them waxed in awhile. She showed me them when she was done and it looked okay but then when I got back to my car they were completely unfinished. There was still wax on them and stray hairs all where I asked to have them waxed. I went back inside and asked them to clean them up for me and they were willing to do it. However the stylist who cleaned them up was completely unprofessional and rude to me. She kept making remarks and then laughing afterwards to make it seem like she wasn't being rude. Here are some of the things she said: "I keep a tweezer in my car all the time", insinuating that I just needed to tweeze them myself. "Oh you just really like your eyebrows clean" "those hairs are hard to see and everyone has a different way of doing this maybe its just the angle." "You usually should tell them how you want them cleaned up." Even though I did .You don't speak to your guest that way! She was making me feel bad for asking them to redo their bad waxing. She was trying to make it right but ended up just pissing me off to the point of never wanting to return. She also left the sink back at first, put no towel down so it was super uncomfortable. I was just very shocked I had never had an experience like...
Read moreI went here after a friend had her hair dyed bright purple/violet by Angela Dean, which looked super awesome. When requesting a appointment, I was unfortunately assigned to Adam. I showed Adam a picture of my hair a few months ago where the ends were dyed turquoise that faded to a bright/vibrant blue. I told him I wanted something similar, that I would normally do it myself but I had recently cut my hair shorter and didn't want to risk over bleaching it and damaging my ends. He looked at my hair and said we wouldn't even need to bleach it and that it was already light enough. I said I didn't mind bleaching it and then I wanted it to look vibrant. I think I must have said vibrant at least 8 times during my initial consultation. Low and behold, 3 hours after he finished it was a dull grey, and the turquoise (if that what you want to call it) didn't even show up. I said I was hoping it would be more vibrant, and he said that if I wanted that we should have bleached. Either Adam wasn't listening to me or he doesn't know how to properly assess hair for color. I called later and complained and they gave me a full refund.
The salon itself is cool, and there are probably really talented people there for producing cool, edgier hair, but Adam is not one of them. If you are going to go here, do not...
