I went in to make a five minute return. I have a medical condition and this canāt wear a mask. I had two items. Walk up to the line. There is one man in front of me and he is finishing up. The young woman helping the man asks if I have a mask. I tell her I have a medical condition. She says I have to have one and if I want I can take one up by the front. I repeat I have a medical condition. Then she starts in with for the āsafety of othersā I need to have one on. Interesting since she isnāt a medical professional...I tell her as much and add how Covid is spread according to the CDC. She calls for the manager. A line has now formed. While we are waiting they literally call up another customer who was waiting in the wrong are and arrived after me. The manager arrives. He tries to do the same thing. I ask what his medical qualifications are to determine what is best for my safety. He confirms what I suspect: that he doesnāt have any qualification. I give him the same information I gave the young woman and add that in the time this conversation is happening, I could have been gone already. He reiterates that I put the mask on or I can leave. I ask why I canāt be treated like a human being. He says he has to worry about the safety of others. So my safety means less? At that point, he touches his mask that is sitting over his scraggly beard for the second time. Now, if you have any knowledge of how masking is SUPPOSED to work, you know that the part that goes over your nose and mouth is the part you donāt touch at all. Furthermore, you also know that beards make it very hard to get a seal. Yet, this man was lecturing me about masking and health. Then other customers want to chime in and start harassing and personally insulting me because I am not wearing a mask. I am called selfish, callous, immature. I am told to just put the mask on. Who cares if it will cause me to have a negative reaction that could scare my kids, whose father is currently gone for several months, right?! One loud, unhealthy looking women then told me I am putting lives at risk, even though I had announced I already had Covid. She shrieked she had too but she was still wearing it. Another woman piped in that she hadnāt had it. She looked like she was coming off of a rough weekend, so I actually opted to be nice and again repeat the statistics. The woman who was first in line who had begun the public shaming then chuckled and said this isnāt a trump rally...huh??? What that had to do with anything was beyond me. Other than to try and paint me as less than someone else. Did the manager at any point try to take charge of the situation? Other than a few this is not a debate, no. After that comment about who I possibly voted for, he turned to me and said I was causing a disruption and I had to leave. Yes, I the person who wanted to be in and out in five minutes and mind my business is causing the disruption. Sorry I wouldnāt let you bully me into hurting my health for your feelings. I would love to know what was said about me afterwards. The indoctrination message got sent loud and clear to anyone in that line who may not agree with this. Comply or be publicly shamed and humiliated. My dollars will go to companies who have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have a love hate relationship with this store. I always find great shoes with lots of selection. Jean's are a hit or miss. Almost everytime I can not find my size in the Paige, Madewell or Hudson brands. The worst part of this store is the customer service and rude employees. I had a few bad experiences here with employees. The latest occurrence happened at the checkout line and I have not been back since. The cashier didnt seem very enthused to be working. I had to use the restroom and was near front of store looking at purses before checkout. I asked if they could hold my 2 pairs of boots ar register while I use the restroom. The employee stated "NOPE". I said ok can I just set it on counter at this closed register, they then reply "No you can't". I threw my stuff in a cart and pulled it next to bathroom to then go back to the checkout line to purchase the shoes from the same person. If that's an actual rule possibly explaining it better or politely responding could go a long way. I recommend going to the Easton...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible customer service. The lady working at Cashier this Saturday was not helpful or friendly. Double check your receipt! I was accidentally charged twice so I went back to get a refund. The lady helping me was unwilling to help and make be go back to my car and grab my shoes to believe me. I was charged an original price and a discounted price. All I ask is for her to refund my original price. Instead she will only do a return for both and make me purchase again. The original purchase was $92.38 and $32.33. She returned both and made a new purchase of $52.79.And it ended up being me paying $20 extra for some reason. I was really upset I have to run back twice to correct my receipt in such a freezing weather. The first cashier charged me twice and the second cashier just made me run back and forth twice because she does not believe in me that she have to see the shoe herself. Guess I was pusnished for shopping at this...
