The girl at the counter was incredibly knowledgeable and kind, she gave good advice and seemed happy to help. However, when I returned to schedule an appointment, I stood there for half an hour and the one geek squad guy working wouldn't even acknowledge me, no "I'll be right with you in a moment" nothing. An appointment showed up behind me 10 minutes early and the guy eventually comes up to the counter without even looking at me or acknowledging me and said he'll take the next appointment. Even the person who showed up for their appointment was upset that he didn't try to help me. It was clear the geek squad guy absolutely did not want to deal with anyone or be decent towards customers. After telling him my issue he seemed to have little to no knowledge about computers and finally scheduled me an appointment.

Read moreI had an issue with my Surface Book saying that "some settings are managed by your organization" even though it is my personal laptop. I was unable to access Microsoft's "Cortana" feature. After spending nearly half my day on the phone with Microsoft using Remote Assistance, they couldn't figure it out and said that I was going to have to restore and reboot my entire laptop and that I should back everything up on a hard-drive. I was very discouraged as I am a student and heavily rely on my laptop to take exams, access my courses, etc. After about 30 minutes or so with Geek Squad (specifically Brandon), he was able to figure it out without having to completely restore! He was very patient with me, focused, and persistent. He could sense my concern and frustration. We communicated effectively to find out what was causing the issue. Read moreI bought a router from Best Buy. Today Marcy and I had the day off. Geek Squad was scheduled to be here between 12PM-4PM. They never showed. They called while we were unable to get to the phone. Rather than show up (as they said they would) 4PM rolled around and no one had called or arrived to do the work.
We wasted our day off waiting for them. They didn't make it right and so I canceled any future appointment, got someone local who will come out for less money, and told them that I would not be shopping at Best Buy in the future. No Customer care.
