This location has gone downhill in recent months and years. The manager does not take customer complaints seriously and the teenagers he has hired do nothing but treat customers with disrespect and joke around with each other while youâre in line trying to check out. The older ladies talk about you behind your back but then will smile to your face. I had a bagger recently speak to me very rudely and bring up a very inappropriate topic of conversation for the grocery store and when I asked him to stop the cashier, whose tag said she had been there for 9 years did nothing, did not even stick up for me or anything. When I tried to file a complaint I was just rushed through it and basically told oh weâll speak to him/her. Same spiel as always and it just continues to happen. They accept expired IDâs which is illegal. I am WELL over the legal age to purchase tobacco/alcohol products in NH and have never been IDâd until a week and a half ago after being a twice daily customer for almost 5 years. Even the teenagers have never IDâd me. All of the cashiers know me by face and especially the older ones even know me by name and somehow today it was like they didnât know me and needed my ID. I am fine showing my ID if people request it, they are doing their job. Trust me, Iâve worked in places where asking for ID is required. But donât not ask for it for over 4 years and sell to me every day and know Iâm certainly well over the legal age and then the next pretend like you donât even know who the heck I am. Asking for ID is one thingâŚignoring a regular customer and pretending you have never seen them in your life is another! When I called to question their ID policy it was like some big state secret and the manager spoke in circles. In a recent google article out today they were voted the worst market basket in NH and this doesnât surprise me. I will find another place to shop, even if it is an...
Read moreGood value great staff still good hasn't changed still great, 5/31 MB had a decent selection of meats. Didn't have MB MB raspberry jam. 11/25 had everything needed including raspberry jam. 12/28 Well stocked busy. As previously reported, busy friendly, well stocked. Only thing I could ask for is for it to closer to my house (lol). 2/16. Like. everyone they are facing empty slots as distrubtion of goods is a challenge. Also prices are crazy, what's wrong when you can buy a rotisserie chicken for 5 or 6 dollars but a uncooked chicken is 8+. 4/27 had everything i needed, amazing all the staff needed to stock the shelves. 7/17 well stocked, pricing is in a downward movement. But can change in a moments notice. Just a good bunch of people 9/12 still the same. 12/7 prices are still bouncing up/down. Friendly staff. Will go out of their way tohelp 2/6 like everywhere costs group and down. Also random out of stock items. Rest is the same. Yes eggs are crazy priced although MB Bacon was 2 for $7.00. 4/18 prices are stabilizing but are higher. Unfortunately this is everywhere not just MB. 6/20 no changes 9/26 no apparent changes, but not MB fault, some packaging is a smaller size.11/30/23 prices are stablizing, but have risen.    Read moreIf I need only a COUPLE of things I will stop at Market Basket, but I mostly do my shopping through Instacart, via Shaw's. I do not enjoy Market Basket's selection. Shaw's has better options (variety), and I can also rely more on them to have what I need rather than Market Basket.
I will say that the employees at Market Basket are super nice and when I thought I was going to get a judgemental stare at the checkout, they looked at me like they understood if I was having a hard time, which I was because if I had to pick up a SPECIFIC item, it would take me way too long to find it, or to not find it. Doing all of my OWN shopping was the biggest hassle in my life, before I found Instacart. Would much rather pay somebody to pick up the items I need. I am not going to struggle down every aisle with a bad attitude, drawing attention to myself. I recommend Instacart+, $19.99 a month and you do not have to pay the delivery fee, just the service fee. And every order adds on perks... restaurant credits! Haven't bought nearly enough take out to use them yet. (Have to buy over $35 worth, to SAVE $20.)
In the past, I would pick the WORST time to come shop because it was always when everybody ELSE wanted to do there shopping, too! I need a little breathing room (SPACE), to do what I need to do, and be in and out FAST ! Atmosphere = busy, hectic and unenjoyable.
It is December, and I have a $50 food voucher at Market Basket Stores. This is the only reason why I will be shopping on my own for my...
