Batteries Plus — Attraction in Avon

I bought an X2Power battery for my Jeep at Batteries Plus Bulbs in Avon, In. Dewayne and another gentleman were VERY helpful. Dewayne did the installation quickly. He's just a great guy and knows a lot about batteries. The X2Power is made by Northstar. It is a pure led AGM battery, and is believed by many to be the best performing battery for off-road vehicles. It has 135 min reserve capacity, which is 35 minutes greater than an Optima. Im March 2013, Four Wheeler and JP magazine did a test of the best, and the Northstar (Identical to the X2Power) handily outperformed the Optima, Odyssey, Die Hard Platinum, and Die Hard Gold. Best battery, great price, and best warranty.

Update 3/6/21. I just bought another battery for my other Jeep. The X2 I reviewed above is going strong in my 2008 Jeep. Now I have purchased an Odyssey, from Batteries Plus Bulbs that was substituted for the X2, which is on backorder. The Odyssey is in the same class of battery. This store has saved my phone twice now when Verizon offered no help. I rely on my phone heavily for work and when I dropped it one day with my screen protector on it didn't crack but just stopped working. By the time I got off work it was about 7 o'clock so we made it over there right before the closing at 7:30... The only girl there was great, she quickly let me know that she could look at the screen and possibly fix it by replacing it. Since I have been in previously with the cracked screen this new screen was under warranty and didn't cost us a dime to replace although she did sell me on a better case:) She was pleasant to work with and professional. She worked quickly between my request and another woman's so neither of us had to wait long for what we needed. I needed cell type batteries for a toy that my granddaughter just loves. The associate was very kind & installed the batteries for me. He also told me about a deal they had. A box of Duracell AA batteries for $5.00 a box - QTY 24. My first question: "What's the expiration date?" March 2027. Woo hoo! Now that's a deal! I would never had known about this store special had he not have told me. I bought 2 boxes. It was my very first time going into Batteries Plus Bulbs. Great experience & will definitely go back.

My main purpose for going was to find an odd bulb size for my stove hood vent that I purchased on Amazon. Amazon couldn't get the answer as to what type bulb base it is. I've been to several places & no one knows what it is. Batteries Plus Bulbs was my last hope. They didn't know what it is either. It's probably something from China. Odd size & not a standard type American Bulb. Oh well.
