We love hiking out here there are a lot of different terrain types out there and lots of little streams to follow and find find springs and creek beds to explore. The one thing I would heavily advise would be for whomever owns that to send people out to clean up some places of it. There are so many tires in some of the creek beds and also there's a fair bit of not only down rusty barbed wire fencing but it's down and buried by leaves causing foot traps. That needs to either be fixed with better less dangerous fencing or just removed all together. It's not only a danger to explorers but also to wildlife who is THE MOST likely to get caught up in it. If black bass has a clean up weekend/clean up groups or something like that my partner and I would love to volunteer and help maintain this beautiful area we love to explore and visit.

I'm giving this a 5 star review just because of its location and we were surprised by the view of the lake. If you don't mind going for a drive on a backroad that will take you way back in the woods, this place will surprise you. My wife found it on Google maps while we were in the area and wanted to check it out. We decided to go up the hill and park in this small spot that maybe fit 4 vehicles. This place is so secluded we only seen 2 people. The view of the lake was awesome and we seen several fish. No way to launch a boat but you could get a canoe on it if they permit it. Great find if you want a place I'm sure not many have seen. Wish we had known this was here before so we could've had a picnic here.

A nice little lake with a few trails around it near a very busy summer tourist town. Respite from the noise and bustle (motorcycles, mainly, these days) of Eureka Springs, AR. The drive down the hill to the lake is quite narrow in places (ala Eureka Springs) and you might have to back up on the quite steep, gravel road to let others pass. The basic trail around the lake is a very easy walk. You can opt for the Little more strenuous bluff trail which is so worth it. Parking is limited. Maybe 10 cars max. And it's often filled during weekends and anytime during tourist season. I recommend it if you're in the area. Just don't expect anything more than a city park trail.
