Very disappointed in the Eureka Springs Transit company and Eureka Springs Tram Tours! Called on Friday and reserved 2 adults and 2 toddlers for the tram ride at 3. Paid for over the phone. We came from Kansas for the weekend. Our toddlers wanted to ride the train and tram. We walked into the transit building ready for our tour and they didn't even bother to look up our information and said they only he tickets purchased online not over the phone. Said Joe (Eureka Springs Tram Tours) is a booking company and I have to speak to him. When I called him he said that the transit company is emailed with all reservations he makes. He was friendly and is refunding our money. The man and lady at the transit company were not helpful and were frankly rude. The Eureka Springs Transit Company and this booking company need to improve their communication so disappointment and confusion doesn't happen to more families especially. You would think with being shut down for awhile due to the virus they would welcome customers...
Read moreSaturday we visited Eureka Springs. It was a very hot day, so we decided to get a trolly ticket (because walking up steep hills all over town wasn’t sound like a great idea after walking down the steep hills). Unknown to us, trolleys don’t pick you up if you are right by the trolly stop or waving at them or trying to get them to stop by the trolly stop. Twice trolleys drove right past us. Stopped by the transit center to report the concern and was told they don’t stop at the stops unless you call them to request a pick up. Apparently the drivers are too busy talking to look to see if someone needs to be picked up at the trolly stop (that’s what we were told by the worker).
My two friends and I purchased passes and we weren’t able to get anyone to stop to pick us up. No where on the receipt does it say to call to schedule a pickup. Of course I got rid of my personal info on the attached photo, but it doesn’t say to call to schedule the pickup. Was very...
Read moreWe loved the trolley! It's quite an efficient system that will take you pretty much anywhere in Eureka Springs (in the comfort of A/C)! We normally prefer to walk, but Eureka Springs is full of steep hills that are hard on the joints. And parking isn't easy/cheap to find! Let the trolley do all the heavy work, so you can enjoy the sights! We paid $6 for an all day pass, (a 2 day pass is $10), which is a very good deal. A trolley does a loop in about 30 minutes, which was plenty of time to get off, visit a site, and get on the next trolley. There is some overlap on routes, so you may see a trolley every 15 minutes. We weren't in any hurry, and had no issue waiting for the next one. You can track the trolley location on an app. There are stops at nearly every hotel in town, so it's an easy ride back...
