We had an amazing time! We did the four hour private tour and we got to do everything! The private tours are fully customizable and let you swim with dolphins, shell on shell island, watch dolphins, and/or snorkel! We found lots of shells and sand dollars, and got to jump in with the dolphins 5 or 6 times! Be aware that you do have to wade to the shore to get to shell island (about knee deep water, no waves). However, you can choose to not get in the water and just go on the boat tour and see dolphins! That's tbe best part of the private tours- you can choose whatever you want to do! You should also be aware that the dolphins are probably not going to stop and swim with you, they are wild so you do have to swim to keep up with them, or hope they go directly under you instead of swimming away. Still an amazing experience! We had a 16yo boy with us who had never been snorkeling or swimming in the ocean before and he was able to keep up just fine! You jump off the boat into the water right as the dolphins are approaching, swim with them for a few minutes or so, then get back in the boat and follow the pod along the beach to do it again! They provide snorkels and life jackets, or you can bring your own gear. We had Captain Guy and he was AMAZING! He was so nice and funny, and very helpful and accommodating of my sister's disabilities. We went in mid april so unfortunately some of the snorkeling areas didn't have many fish as it was still too cold, but Captain Guy was very helpful and willing to load up and hurry to the next spot to see if we could find something somewhere else! Summer is def better for fish & snorkeling, but spring was just fine! It all depends what you want to do and how flexible you are with your plans. I highly recommend. TLDR: These tours and Captain Guy were amazing for snorkeling, swimming/watching dolphins, and accommodating...
Read moreIf you’re even thinking about booking a private boat charter and you haven’t booked with Captain Guy yet… stop scrolling and book it right now. Seriously. There’s no need to compare or hesitate — this is the one.
Captain Guy didn’t just give us a boat ride — he gave us a soul-recharging adventure that we’ll be talking about for the rest of our lives. His energy was calm, warm, and completely magnetic — the kind of person you instantly trust and feel better just being around.
We swam with wild dolphins who literally played peekaboo with us in the water. We swam with sea turtles — like, next to them — as they peacefully foraged for food. The water was crystal clear, the wildlife abundant, and the entire experience felt like stepping into a dream.
We saw countless tropical fish, danced in the waves, and yes — even shared the water with a barracuda (no worries — Captain Guy knew exactly what he was doing, and we felt completely safe the entire time).
There’s something about his presence — it’s not just that he’s knowledgeable or experienced (which he absolutely is) — it’s that he gets it. He knows how to create those rare, deep, once-in-a-lifetime moments that hit your heart and stay there.
If you’re looking for the kind of trip that leaves your skin sun-kissed, your spirit full, and your camera roll bursting with magic — this is it. Don’t waste time looking elsewhere. Don’t settle.
Captain Guy is the vibe. The experience. The memory you’ll treasure forever.
See you next year with the...
Read moreIt was so nice to just kick back, let the waves and the captain escort us on an island tour where we saw dolphins and fish very near the surface of the water. My Sister did the homework and found this "Private Boat Tour". Jason was our captain. Very kind, knowledgeable and down to earth dude. My Sister taught the captain and me something new about wearing the life vest and we were both very impressed. It was suppose to be a 3 hour tour (Like Gilligan's Island) 😉, instead we got the best of 2 hours. A nasty rain storm pounded the boat on the way in, but we still enjoyed ourselves and had lotsa laughs with Jason. Apparently there are boats with slides to slide down. We didn't get one of these and I'm okay with that. There's about 100 ft from one side of the island to the other and there's a lil hike path to get there. My Sister and decided we spend enough time on land and she stayed in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico and I was content watching from the boat and enjoying my music and the nice breeze that provided comfort on a pretty humid day. I would highly advise you check it out. Oh.....did I mention the "Ice Cream Boat"? It was sooo cool. We had to try it. $5.00 for any of the variety ice cream bars they had on board. It hit the spot. Definitely have to do it at least once, but don't get use to paying practically double for something you'd pay just a couple bucks though. I'm really way more conservative with my spending, but want the experience as I...
