India Market &Cafe — Attraction in Paradise

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. First it’s extremely clean. When you walk in it looks bigger inside then outside. It’s essentially a large warehouse. Three quarters of it is a market where you can anything from food to an alter to incense & the other quarter of it is a cafe with the most delicious Indian food I’ve had in years.

My friends took me here as it is a place that they frequent. The owner, who they know well was extremely kind, polite, & wanted to make sure we were taken care of. He greeted us when he saw my friends & made sure to say goodbye & that he looks forward to our return.

Ok let’s jump right in to the food. O.M.G for $10 you can get this entire sampler platter with curry, rice, dessert, & more. Additionally I bought samosas. You might say what is that. I’ll tell you it’s the most incredible phyllo dough stuffed with a vegetable curry deliciousness that I’ve never had before; at least not memorable enough like these. They were so good that I ended up ordering another order of them (they come in three & I told my friends this order is for me only lol). I paid for one of my buddies lunch & mine & 2 orders of Samosas & it was total $30 for ALL THAT FOOD. WOW! Incredible.

This place is one of the worst stores in Las Vegas. First, they don't have prices written on items so majority of the time we have to ask the people working there about the prices. Second, half of their items are expired. So beware before you buy items and check the expiration date on everything. Their vegetables, onions, garlic, and potatoes look rotten, even though they get "new delivery of vegetables" three times a week. Third, they don't have costumer service. When you go and ask a simple question, you probably have to wait 5-10 minutes for an answer. Forth, the store is small and compact so walking around the shop gets very hard. They have things piled up on top of each other, which makes the store feel even more claustrophobic. Also, half of their items on the self are opened and half empty. Fifth, the workers have the tendency to double charge the costumer. I have purchased some items and when I looked at my receipt I found out the workers charged me twice for one of the items I bought. This has happened many times, so make sure to check your receipt. Overall, the costumer service is horrible, a lot of their "fresh" vegetables look very stale, the prices are way to high, and a lot of their items...

First of all, if any of you think that shopping at this Indian grocery store is overpriced, then go to Walmart! These are authentic groceries that are shipped in from another country. You think that the store owners have everything shipped in for free or what? Stop expecting everything for nothing and stop being so disrespectful. I've lived in South India for 8 years and I miss it very much. Indian people are very humble and kind.. very respectful and have manners. So please don't use your "American" garbage to disrespect this business and expect everything for cheap! like I said if you want cheap groceries then go to walmart. I really like this store.. they have all the great groceries that I'm used to! And other people also wants to talk about cleanliness? Go to Walmart and find opened, empty containers just thrown in the shelves from shameless thieving people. There is no place that is 100%! All places have imperfections. I will shop at the store over and over again! I will bring all my friends there and they will enjoy all the good Indian groceries that they love. I give this place 10 stars because they work hard and they are always so nice when I come...
