One positive aspect of Punjab Supermarket is their selection of Zabiha Halal meat, which is a great find for those looking for Halal meat. This is one feature that keeps me coming back, as it’s not always easy to find in other stores.
Unfortunately, my overall experience at the store left much to be desired. A major issue was the lack of pricing on about 90% of the items. It’s very frustrating to shop and not know the cost of products until you reach the checkout, where the prices are revealed only at that point. It’s not a pleasant surprise, and I’m not sure why such a basic retail standard is overlooked here.
The produce section was another letdown. Many of the vegetables looked far from fresh—some were visibly rotten, with damaged skins that suggested they were way past their prime. It was clear that the produce hadn't been properly maintained or rotated, and it made the shopping experience feel untrustworthy.
Additionally, both times I visited, I had to specifically ask for a receipt, which shouldn’t be necessary. The first time, I was there for snacks, and the second time for produce and international foods. In both cases, I didn’t get a receipt until I asked for one, which left me feeling that the store isn’t as customer-friendly as it should be.
I don’t fault the staff, but it’s clear the store could use more attention to detail and better maintenance to improve the overall experience. While the availability of Zabiha Halal meat is a strong point, the lack of pricing, poor produce quality, and billing issues are...
Read moreI ordered 4 racks of baby goat ribs in my close to $300 worth of meats online, but the ribs were not included when I picked my order up. I know, I should have reviewed my order before I left the store. After all, this happened to me before. I ordered oxtails in the past that were not included in my order but I thought mistakes happen at the time, but when I visited the store to ask for the ribs this time, I was accused by one porgy butcher of lying. I was then told that security videos would be reviewed for substantiation. After many calls and a text message asking for the status of the so-called video reviews, after several complaints, I was given two racks of ribs three days later. I have since called the manager to clear my name and sent text messages – no more response. I don’t want the remaining two racks. I just wanted you to view your video, clear my self worth. I don’t even want to feel the way that the porgy guy made me feel over my money, so I will not be buying from there again. After being a shopper at this store for more than 3-years, the first day of Ramadan this year was...
Read moreTheir business isn't groceries business it's more like robbing people they always overpriced everyone. People need to check their bill before leaving the store. I used to go there for the grocery till I noticed they have been charging me extra and it didn't happen only once. There was a time they charged me 22 dollar extra for a pack of juice and when I called all they said it was a mistake then they offered me a refund I didn't want to see their faces so I sent my friend pizza bolis edgewood's owner they gave him. They must be doing this mistake purposely and to everyone cause whoever I told it to they told me the same that how they rob people. How come they never charge anyone less price... It's not mistake when they do it over and over. I wonder how many people still don't...
