This is a quick review for the Shoppers service department of the Tanger Outlet while we appreciated the free use of a wheelchair we could we were not allowed to leave the a walker that we had in their location because they did not want to be responsible for it we had nothing in it except the item itself.
When we reach returned it we left our items in it and did not realize that there was a purse and key to the car in the back pocket of the wheelchair we never received a phone call or anything that we gave on the sheet that we signed off on.
When I went back to pick up the purse my mother's purse I was asked to identify it I explained it was a tan purse they said no it wasn't I said well it's tan or beige one of those colors and she said no she would not hit anything I had to explain what name was on the inside. They went ahead and confirm that but left it in the drawer until I sign for it I did not believe that I was guessing the correct information on the purse the other woman that was there also said it was not tan or beige but when I left I confirm that with other people ask them what color they saw but it was quite an ordeal I also did not have to show my ID to get it back but I did have to sign my name saying I claimed it it was a bit of a sticky situation and did not appreciate how difficult it was to get the purse back but I do understand why they might have you jump through hoops but when I came back in and explain that we just called that should have been enough to get it back as long as I...
Read moreHad the worst experience there today at the food court. Our family walked in and I noticed some seating was blocked off due to cleaning so I sat with the baby in an area that was not being cleaned while the rest of our family ordered food. I noticed a staff member wearing a blue tanger outlet polo being extremely rude and hateful to customers as they tried to sit down. (They did not know the area was closed for cleaning as there was not adequate signage and there was also people sitting in this area being cleaned.) This particular employee was policing the area and being extremely unprofessional with everyone that walked by. My family eventually came over to the table I was sitting at to eat and the lady yelled at us from across the food court and made us get up and move seats. She was so rude and unfriendly. It really made us feel awkward and it honestly made me mad.
If you are going to hire someone to work in and with the public, it may be worth while to make sure they can. If I was basing my experience solely on the customer service of this one individual, I would never come back to tanger. I called management but I doubt anything was done. If I was her supervisor and I saw how she was talking to people, I would have sent her home. Read moreI love to take my time and shop. This outlet has good stores to shop in. I must say, although well dressed carrying a Brahmin wristlet ( not my Ezra, nor Asher Tote to match), i got stereotyped! Aerie offline was the worst. The items we're like $4.99 to $9.99 ! The employee was so close up on me (with over 10 other customers in the store) that i turned around quickly (intentionally) and almost stepped on her toes! Bought my items and left ! Under Armor is always a pleasant place to shop. Ann Taylor, i was also stereotyped, although i gave the nice young lady my items as i shopped to put on the counter. This didn't even help, it took three of the employees to still watch me. The fourth employee frowned at me as i purchased my bag full of items when i was done shopping! (Didn't even go in the dressing room!)
I have 12 plus years of restaurant, 15 plus years retail general manager experience. (I own my own businesses now!) I know the signs , and I'm proud to say i had record numbers in inventory and received double-digit years bonuses 🙌. But never followed clients like this!!! I know the economy is bad , and some make it bad for others. Although this whole review is to say this is one reason why brick and mortars are closing, I'D RATHER SHOP ONLINE !!!!
