The WORST customer service I've ever experienced. Be prepared to be made fun of by staff.
NOT ADA COMPLIANT. Managment advised you are not allowed to bring any outside food or drinks ONTO THE PROPERTY. No water, candy, snacks, treats for your kids. They had posted this online & I wanted to make sure exceptions were in place for those with disabilities who might patronize other stores/businesses, but may not be able to at the restaurants.
I asked about ADA accommodations for people with disabilities, who have special diets, textures, who have kids with such, & they said you can only consume foods you purchased at the restaurants on the Avenue.
WHEN I ASKED ABOUT ADA EXCEPTIONS FOR THOSE W MEDICAL CONCERNS & DISABILITIES, MANAGEMENT SAID THOSE PEOPLE CAN GO ELSEWHERE.
I was shocked by how quickly they dismissed such a simple request. When I stated excluding people with disabilities was non-ADA compliant they ignored the statement.
The Avenue used to be a friendly place that cared about their customers. I'm not sure if they were sold to a new owner & the family friendly atmosphere has become a snark fest. They were cruel & snarky when I asked online. I work w people with disabilities. Basically, I was made fun of for even asking.
They often make fun of customers on their Facebook & insult them in comments. When I have provided calm, simple criticisms they have made fun of me for daring to criticize them.
Today the administrator facebook literally banned me for saying it's not cool to make fun of your customers. I commented in a calm, normal manner that I felt the way they treat people is cruel & that it makes me not want to shop there. Rather than address the issue they literally banned me. This is their customer service. They bury criticism.
I used to enjoy the Avenue - but I'll no longer patronize them due to their poor customer service and inability to abide by ADA, lack of human decency. And if you do complain about anything - be prepared to be outed and made fun of on their website. Then blocked.
*for example, they made fun of the girl who made a review about a lack of seating here on their Facebook. They were like, “haha someone online complained about lack of seating if you want to enjoy some coffee you purchased and enjoy the outside while doing some work.” And all of their followers laughed at the person and piled on. They will literally out you to all of Facebook so everyone can laugh or come at you.

They removed all the tables from the area as well as the fire place area and replaced it with backyard seating… if I wanted to sit like I was in a backyard… I’d go to my backyard. There’s now no seating for people who want to sit at a table outside in the patio area to work. The only table seating they have now is near the parking lot which you now risk cars driving up way too fast and possibly hitting you. The new wooden seating they’ve put out is for larger groups and now if one person is sitting there they’re taking up the entire table without any room for someone else to be there to share/make a public seating place. I don’t know who the designer is this year but they were aiming for look and aesthetic over customer experience and this was their worst move.

I am aware, after seeing other responses, that the person who is responding negatively to everyone and causing harm by revealing people’s workplaces (mine specifically) is Lisa Geiger. She is a manager at The Avenue and one of the top bullies revealing people’s workplace on social media while also arguing with them with an intention to be harmful. Read moreI had an extremely unpleasant experience dealing with the property management at White Marsh Avenue. Recently my car was involved in a hit and run, and I tried to contact Lisa and Kathi for some assistance. To my shock, they picked up the phone but instead of being helpful, they started bad-mouthing me and calling me names through the phone. They were unaware that I was on the line and could hear everything they were saying about me. It was extremely unprofessional and incredibly hurtful to hear them call me names. To make matters even worse, they refused to go through the camera footage to help identify the driver responsible for hitting my car. I asked several times, made a police report but they simply refused to give me any assistance whatsoever. I am extremely disappointed with the property management at White Marsh Avenue and would not recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and respectable company to deal with. Their lack of professionalism and indifference towards my situation was unacceptable especially given the rising incidents of car break-ins at the property that have been reported by our customers.
