I give this store two stars because the prices are unbeatable. However, the customer service I received on Sunday, 4/16/17, was nothing short of an epic failure. They were holding a sale...buy 2 get the 3rd item half off. There were no signs that indicated this sale was ongoing until you reached the register and there was ONLY a black and white piece of paper behind the register that stated the promotion, by then I had already paid for my items. I asked the young girl at the counter if this applied to all floor items and she could have cared less, when she saw that I insisted she finally asked the manager. I often expect this from young employees but when I proceeded to insist and she asked the manager, the manager had the WORST ATTITUDE I HAVE EVER SEEN. No wonder the young girl was not well trained, look who her manager is. She rolled her eyes, kept walking and gave her back to me. I'm pretty sure she was hoping I would not want to proceed with the purchase. I know these stores have a quota to meet and if I'm investing in your products it would only be right that you treat your customers with dignity and respect. I hope corporate notices this and makes some changes. I truly love the prices, the brands for sale and the set-up but your employees must match your product. I stopped by The Cosmetics Company Store in Cypress recently to purchase a couple of products, and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The store is quite small, and during my visit, there were only two other customers browsing. Despite that, the store manager and two employees were completely disengaged—standing around chatting with each other and not once offering help, No one asked if I needed assistance, no one talked about any promotions or new products, and there was zero effort to provide even the most basic customer service. The only interaction I had was being asked if I wanted to “sign up” for something—which wasn’t clearly explained at all. I left feeling like my visit didn’t matter. There was no hospitality, no product knowledge shared, and no brand experience whatsoever. For a store that represents such a well-known brand, this was truly a letdown. I would’ve been better off buying my makeup from the competition, where at least the staff makes an effort to be helpful. Aliya was very knowledgeable about which facial care products I should be using on my very dry skin. There were several other customers in the store today who said they come to this store for the savings and the staff. So I'm not the onlyone who is impressed. I was never pressured into purchasing anything and Aliya kindly suggested I try another more flattering color of make-up. I bought the Esteé Lauder brand at half-price today. (23 Sep 2023) It's true the store does not carry the full-line you might find in a department store but last time I was at Dillards, they didn't have all of the eye shadows in stock either.
