Itās been over two years since I set foot in Houston Premium Outlets ā and baby, was I missing out or what?!
First off, shoutout to Miss A for instantly catching my eye. One dollar rings? A WHOLE WALL of them? Listen, donāt even bring up quality ā for that price, who cares?! Itās giving Dollar Tree meets teenage fever dream, and Iām HERE for it. The associate even told me the store concept is like Dollar Tree but for beauty and accessories ā honestly genius. If youāve got kids or just wanna shop without crying over your bank statement, THIS is the place. Makeup, accessories, cute chaos, and the customer service? Chefās kiss.
Then thereās Disney Store ā and let me tell you, I did not walk in there planning to spend money. (Famous last words.) But next thing I know? Thereās a back-to-school sale. There are adult hoodies. Thereās a Miss Duck jacket-hoodie hybrid that I couldnāt resist ā and it was only $30, with tax. And yes, the quality is legit. While other stores out here are raising prices and lowering quality like itās a sport, Disney said: hold my ears.
š„ Huge kudos for running real promos that donāt feel like scams. If youāve got a kid (or inner child), run, donāt walk.
And then. My soul wept. Dippinā Dots. Havenāt had it in five years. No Jimmy this time, but that Banana Split flavor? Absolute joy. I was sweaty, I was tired, but I was healed. My whole shopping trip felt complete.
Canāt forget Auntie Anneās ā the OG pretzel stop. I didnāt need the sugar rush, but letās be honest, I wasnāt about to walk past it. Normally Iād top it off with Starbucks too, but today I showed restraint. Too much sugar already. Small win. š
There were also new carts along the walkway ā bubble tea, lemonade, burgers ā and I even spotted one selling vinyl records laid out in neat rows. It added a fun, vintage touch to the experience. I didnāt even make it to the food court ā there were too many mini stops along the way!
š§ Quick shoutout to the Kate Spade associate who helped me when the map screen was down and my sense of direction said goodbye. She didnāt just point ā she guided. True service queen.
Real talk: Yes, some major brands clearly dropped their quality, which was a little disappointing ā but thatās on them, not on Houston Premium Outlets. If anything, it made the standout stores feel even better.
Only one suggestion: update the drink machines! Iād love to see more variety ā maybe some imported drinks, something fun and fresh. The current machines are a little tired.
Despite the heat turning me into a walking sweat towel, I walked out feeling satisfied, fed, and mildly broke ā which means it was a great day.
ā Final verdict: Houston Premium Outlets still slaps. Even if the sunās trying to kill you. ššļø

Ā Ā Ā Read moreShopping centers are on the decline nationwide. They donāt have quite the drawing power that they once had and a good number have shut down. But some are still alive and thriving and in Houston, one mall that is going strong is Houston Premium Outlets.
Houston Premium Outlets is different from other area shopping centers, mainly because it is not an indoor shopping center. There is no central walkway inside an enclosed space. Instead, you walk outside from one store to the next. This means you are exposed to the heat during the warm times of the year, as well as occasional rain, and the only escape is to walk into one of the stores, which are all climate controlled.
As for the stores, Houston Premium Outlets features several hard- to- find shopping options and this is what makes it popular with locals. The stores are generally high- end or borderline high- end, with only a few exceptions. Prices are a little on the high end, too, but right in line with what you expect for these types of stores.
If you need help finding the store of your choosing at Houston Premium Outlets, they are ready to assist you with the directories. These are not your average directories- they are electronic kiosks with touch- screen capabilities, scattered throughout the complex. They are large, too. You touch the screen to activate, then slide it back and forth to help you locate the store in which you wish to shop.
Parking encircles Houston Premium Outlets so you shouldnāt have any issues finding a place for your vehicle and none of the parking is very far away, so it takes little effort to walk into the center, even from the furthest parking spots. Eating and drinking options are limited at Houston Premium Outlets and there is no standout among them. I prefer indoor shopping centers myself, but Houston Premium Outlets does have its merits and the location at Grand Parkway 99 and highway 290 is...

I am writing to report a disappointing customer service experience at your store yesterday at Saks OFF 5TH store
Incident Details
Date: November 20,2024 Time: Approximately 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm
I visited your store to purchase a displayed shoe. The sales associate assisting me was a woman with black hair, glasses and a brown top, and she was the only staff member on the floor at the time.
I inquired about availability in a different size. She initially claimed it was the last pair. After I pointed out the display, she reluctantly checked, displaying negative body language and attitude. She forcefully slammed the shoe down, making me uncomfortable. Her sudden aggression was unwarranted and disturbing.
Interaction Continuation
When I politely said, "Excuse me, ma'am," she suddenly changed her tone, which felt insincere. Even after I declined the purchase, she seemed pleased and walked away.
Follow-up
I reported the incident to a lady at the front desk, who listened attentively and was kind. Unfortunately, the initial treatment left me feeling unwelcome.
Concern
To ensure better customer service, I hope you address this incident. If the sales associate is unwilling to provide respectful assistance, her suitability for the role should be evaluated.
Thank you.
