I can’t say for sure , but perhaps the worst RV Park in Las Vegas is at Circus Circus. This dismal, depressing stretch of concrete turned out to be a horrible place to stay. I was traveling in my van in the area and made an impulsive decision to stay here since I wanted to shower and use the laundry facility. After getting set up in the bleak parking lot, I told myself that one night wouldn’t be bad. I prepared to shower. I gathered my necessities, made my way across the parking lot, selected a shower stall, turned on the water and stripped down. After a minute or so, I I checked the water temperature. Hmmm, still cold. I waited a few minutes, and… still cold! It was obvious that the water was never getting hot! I dressed, gathered my stuff and went to office to report the problem. The staff member told me she would call maintenance and directed me to another shower further out in the RV parking area.
This time, I checked the water first before undressing. Guess what? It was cold too, and the facility was dirty and poorly maintained. I returned to the office to report this as well. I was informed that maintenance had already been called. “how long until they arrive?”, I asked. “I don't know” was the reply. I returned to my van, where I could watch the office, and waited. And waited, for over an hour. At this point I returned to the office and inquired again. I was told that it could be today or the next day before maintenance arrived.
With this development, I asked to speak to the manager. The staff person called the assistant hotel manager and handed me the phone. I explained the situation and the fact that a shower was one of my primary reasons for visiting. They offered me a room at a slight discount. I declined and suggested they provide me a room to shower in and discount the expensive nightly “camping” fee to compensate for their lack of amenities. After arguing this for several minutes, the assistant manager reluctantly granted my request. I was told to report to one of the hotel towers, where I’d be directed to a room where I could take a shower. To their credit, this was the best thing they did for me. It was not short walk to the hotel tower from the RV Park, but once more I gathered my gear and set out for my shower and was finally able to bathe.
This ordeal had taken several hours, and by the time I finished showering the laundry room was closed. I resolved to get up early and do my laundry and never return to this dreadful spot. The next morning I had to wait around until after 9:00 a.m. for the laundry room to open. When it did finally open, there was no way to get change for the machines. Once again, I sought assistance in the RV office and was told they couldn’t make change, and was directed to the casino. Sigh. I took another long walk to the casino, but they were unwilling to give change either and directed me to the attached mall. After trying several stores, I finally found one that would give me change and was able to return and finish my laundry.
After I returned home from my road trip a few weeks later, I reviewed my credit card statements online looking for the discount that Circus Circus had agreed to refund to me. What a surprise, no refund found! I had to call Circus Circus guest services and relay the entire story to be granted $10 off my...
Read moreSeriously the Worst RV Park in every way! My Review is Honest and any review posted here saying this is a great place must be a FAKE PAID For Review! On the website it says they have a dog wash area...been here several times in last 6 months ...NO DOG WASH AREA.. ITS STILL SITTING THERE NOT WORKING WITH GABAGE IN IT!.. Called to check in on 4/2/18 .... asked the gal if the dog wash area was working yet?!?! She assured me the site was updated just yesterday 4/1/18 and they wouldn't put it on the website if it wasn't working!?? I went on to say they had told me it was getting fixed the last 5 times we came (we stay a few days a month) bought a rv so we can bring dogs when we travel here, the dog washing station was a huge deal for me!? Dog wash Station is filled with garbage!!!!!??? This is BS! If this place wasn't on the strip I would NEVER come here..but the location is amazing, I have to be honest you are just a few minute walk and your on the main part of the strip! The RV spots: okay so a few of the spots aren't so bad but those few are the ones they charge you an extra 20 to stay at and it's still just a dirty concrete slab with hookups, they dont clean or sweep the sites at all, keep your curtain closed to the back cause the bushes are filled with garbage, dog poo and I mean stinky dirty! They get homeless ppl coming in to sleep or whatever they do and they obviously use the restroom in the bushes/trees cause there's toilet paper and the smell! So if you do stay DO NOT STAY WHERE YOUR PARKED UP AGAINST A WALL/ BUSHES Stay in the middle or up front!! Lock Up This Place Is A THIEVES PARADISE ..LOCK UP ..OR..YOU WILL GET ROBBED!!! And dont leave anything out...bikes,chairs,bbq NOTHING, they'll steal your towels off your chairs! No Cable, No internet, well they say they give you internet but it dont work! Absolutely the worst RV PARK EVER!! Even down to STAFF .. they are Rude and Lazy.. SECURITY well that's a whole nother story, your lucky to even see one at all and when you do He is Sitting on his bike in a corner Arguing with Spouse or playing video games on His Cell Phone.. there isn't any wonder why everybody is getting robbed Security isn't even watching out at all! I took the time to write this long Review Because People Need to know the truth about this place b4 they arrive! 3 photos I took looking out my back window, I called TV park and asked them if someone could clean some of this up because we were staying a couple weeks, they said they would Try to get someone to take care of it, we pulling out tomarrow nothing ever was done, I called yesterday told supervisor the same garbage is still there was and was disappointed nobody could clean grounds, but he didn't even say sorry he just said he was sorry I was disappointed..lol this...
Read moreI had been planning to take the RV to vegas for only a couple days, looking for an RV park near the strip and found a few, not including this one. I read the reviews, as you are doing as well to make sure I didn't make a mistake where I stayed. I called a few of them but decided, reluctantly to head for Circus Circus' park. Even as I got off the freeway I had second thoughts from the negative reviews on here, thinking that I'd just stay one night and see how it is being it was getting later in the afternoon.
I pulled up to the park and parked the truck and trailer to go to the check-in. A very pleasant woman was behind the counter in the store that has munchies to basic "oops, I need" things for the RV's and happily helped me out with my larger load of a truck and trailer equaling more than 60' total. She had 4 spots for me, right by the enterance that was easily accessible after our night of fun on the strip. Very nice and clean sites with a little cafe style table and chairs sitting at a perfect location for both the rear and front doors to walk onto from the rig. They were sitting on stamped brick/concrete surrounded by a rock area in our own little area of the site. Plenty of room to park the Mega cab/long bed truck with the 36' trailer.
I did have to get the "premium" site, or something to that nature so it wasn't exactly the cheapest site there but for only a 'few bucks' more, who cares? It was still a fraction of the price of a room. Besides that.... it was OUR little home away from home to stay in with our comfort.
This place is awesome! I will drive the 60mph for the 3.5+ hours oppose to the slight increase in speed otherwise to have the luxury and comfort of my trailer with us and stay at this location. They've spent some time to get this place cleaned up, secure, and very comfortable with minimal to no noise problems. (No loud music/partying/etc. Just a bunch of folk out to vegas in their rigs)
I didn't see any tent camping so I would say there isn't any there but may be wrong. The sites are very nicely spaced for my larger than average slides with plenty of room. Each site had it's own little cafe table thing with the rock between each site so the "privacy" is there for the space concept but there's nothing in between each site like shrubs or fencing which was fine and still your "own little area" at each site. I will absolutely recommend this to anyone thinking of taking their coach to Vegas. It's near the monorail, taxi's, buses, all the fun of the strip with downtown just around the corner with a...
