I was very surprised that this hotel is currently owned by MGM. When you drive up to the front it looks like the 60's (all you need is some Senontra blaring from the speakers of a Cadillac).|The casino was nice and no smell of smoke; probably because nobody was really in there. |When we booked the room, we thought we had requested a tower room but instead went very CHEAP and booked a manor room. We did have an opportunity to upgrade our room for $20 a day, but the hubby declined. The elevator looked like a service elevator with lots of graffiti carved into the 1970's lite oak wood paneling. |This room was like staying a dirty old 'rent an hour' motel room. The walls had water stains from the ceiling to the wallpaper boarder. The carpet was very dirty, stained, and raggedy. Surprisingly, the beds were comfortable and clean. The room was advertised with a flat screen TV...more like a flat screen tube TV. (Do they even make these TVs still?)|Then there was the bathroom. Yuck, yuck, double yuck! The tub was a showe/tub combo. The porcelain of the tub was cracked. Tile looked dirty. I guess MGM thought if they put fancy bathroom amenities it will spruce it up. đ The towels were thin and not very white. I think they were the retired towels they wanted to throw away from the tower rooms. In the last day my husband was poked by a carpet rack object between the bathroom and the "dressing" area. He notified the hotel desk and all he got was an apology. We now have a 50 copy for a doctor visit and lab work to make sure he didn't catch anything contagious. Tha k goodness I always wear my slippers when traveling. |The walls are very thin. A group of men stayed next door and in the wee early mornings you could hear about their night of fun. The floors creaked and I'm sure the people below us could hear our footsteps. |I wouldn't consider staying at Circus Circus again; as you get what...
Read moreThis is a relatively quiet part of the Circus Circus complex and the room we stayed in ( king) was great. Well appointed, clean and comfortable and great value for money. Free parking right outside your accommodation. Check out is also far easier than in the main hotel. No Tea and coffee making facilities however. The member of staff who checked us in was polite efficient and fun and made checking in with 100âs of other people after standing in a Disney line queue as good as it could be. I was glad I didnât have any young children with me. The main entertainment from the manor is only a short walk across a narrow road into the main part of the hotel. The hotel itself is big and brash and full of retail and betting opportunities. If you want bling, a temporary tattoo or a little something for an annoying relative then you will find it here. The noise of many families who you hope are enjoying themselves reverberates off all the walls,no more so than in the Adventuredome. Rides are not cheap and the roller coaster which looked good was out of action. The Circus act area was smaller than expected but itâs in with the price of your stay. The temperature outside was 111 degrees Fahrenheit when we arrived mid afternoon. The swimming and splash complex, an obvious draw was in a word âfullâ and far smaller than you would expect for a hotel of this size. Lots of sun loungers available Early morning probably the best time to visit this area. For me I wanted more âcircusâ, more imagination and...
Read moreThe only thing we liked about it was the pools and splash area. We usually take our own things to keep in hotel. Blanket towels soaps etc.. The room was pretty much runned down. -What ever you do don't walk barefooted on the carpet. I take socks for my kids to use.- Lots of water damage in bathroom. The shower was leaking and the room had a funk to it. Not sure why these rooms don't have mini fridges and microwaves. But that was a deal breaker for me. The room its self was outdated. The AC unit was very loud and had a stench to it. Luckily I carry Lysol wipes and wiped the vents down. I can see that the filter was dirty and hadn't been cleaned in god knows how long. The pillows on the bed were small and they only have 2 on there. The bed felt lopsided. The furniture was old and worn out. Even the entrance to the building was outdated and carpets were old and dirty. The sidewalk outside needs a major power spraying cause it was disgusting.
We did how ever enjoyed our time at the pools. We rented a cabana cause that was the only way to have shade and a fridge for the entire day. We were able to keep our drinks cold. The bathrooms there were surprisingly clean. The housekeeper there was doing her job but with her cellphone in hand (YUCK) The food there was not so tasty and pricey.
I just don't know If Id return to stay. If there's a way to just pay for the pool area, Id do that. Or maybe next time Id look into booking on the bigger hotel side. But IDK Ive heard shiitty reviews from...
