I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the luxurious Lapis Spa at the iconic Fontainebleau Casino Resort, and I am eager to share the exquisite details of my visit. Lapis Spa is a sanctuary that transcends time and place, nestled within the opulent confines of the resort. Inspired by the ethereal beauty of the rare Lapis Lazuli, the "stone of the heavens," this wellness haven offers an unparalleled experience that seamlessly melds ancient global traditions with cutting-edge technologies. The spa's unique features, such as the Star & Snow Showers and the Vitality Pools, create an immersive journey into the realms of renewal, leaving you intrigued and excited about the experience.
The design philosophy of Lapis Spa is not just about aesthetics, but also about inclusivity. It invites guests to relax in an all-encompassing sensory experience transcending physical and mental boundaries. The space itself, punctuated by a calming palette and organic textures, invites a deeper level of relaxation, where wellness becomes not just a pursuit but a state of being. This emphasis on inclusivity ensures that every guest feels welcomed and comfortable at Lapis Spa.
My chosen indulgence was the Odyssey Massage, a 60-minute voyage tailored to my unique needs, weaving together Swedish and Deep Tissue techniques into a masterful blend that was further enhanced by aromatherapy. The consultation before the massage ensured that every aspect of the experience was bespoke, crafting a highly personalized wellness journey. The therapist's expert hands worked in concert with the carefully selected oil, which awakened my senses and eased tension in my muscles with a precision that can only be described as artful. This massage embodied the heart of Lapis Spa's philosophy: a deep, intentional focus on customized care, muscle recovery, relaxation, and sensory elevation through the power of aromatherapy. It was an experience that left me profoundly rejuvenated, and any lingering stress felt as though it had been swept away on the tides of tranquility.
The spa boasts a unique feature known as the Star & Snow Showers, which offers a tranquil snowfall shower experience to refresh the senses following a visit to the steam room in the enchanted area. This area perfectly captures the spa's approach to wellness, balancing playful elements with restorative experiences. The juxtaposition between the snowfall's refreshing coolness and the starlit atmosphere's soothing warmth creates a truly invigorating and calming sensory experience. In addition, the Vitality Pools, which are coed and equipped with a range of temperatures and hydrotherapy jets, as well as the breathtaking Stargazing Lounge, are at the heart of the shared experience at Lapis Spa, providing opportunities for both moments of solitude and meaningful connections with others.
Throughout my visit, I was impressed by the immaculate facilities, from the showers and locker rooms to the finer details of the dĆ©cor. The array of experiences offeredāfrom the Celestial Waters, Steam Room, and Infrared Sauna to the Himalayan Salt Room and heated Tepidarium Chairsāensured that every aspect of wellness was meticulously addressed. The attention to cleanliness and thoughtful design sets Lapis Spa apart from its contemporaries.
While the staff regretfully curtailed the opportunity to photograph the coed Vitality Pools, it is a testament to the spa's commitment to preserving the sanctity and privacy of the space; this did little to detract from the overall celestial experience. The vastness of the facility left me in awe, with the discovery of spaces like the Reboot Lounge still to be explored on future visits.
In summation, Lapis Spa at the Fontainebleau Casino Resort is an elite wellness destination that honors traditions while embracing present innovations. It crafts a transformative experience that leaves one feeling utterly rejuvenated and refreshed. I emerged with a renewed sense of vitality, and for that reason, I wholeheartedly bestow upon Lapis Spa the highest accolade: a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo, let me preface by saying this: this is EASILY one of the nicest spas in Vegas. Is it the best??? It could be. But it has just a couple annoying issues that need addressed before it can take the #1 spot (from the encore spa, my current #1 spa). The prices are high but they're expectedly high for the level of hotel and space. Start with the positives:
Like I said, lapis is a top 2-3 spa but those few issues stop it from getting that #1 spot.
Get some drink options, caffeine is necessary, juice should be available. Also some better snack options (fruits) Allow at least one in/out pass Institute and enforce a tranquil space rule Disallow phone use Larger sandals
Just these 5 things would probably make this the best spa in Vegas.
Update: 5/14/24
Returned to lapis again on my visit to Vegas. I had 5 things on the list they needed to improve... Not sure if they have taken feedback to heart or not, but I am happy to report:
Please ready my review if your like me and love luxury spas in LV I learned of this spa from Denver Co, after hearing how amazing it was I booked a trip specifically for the spa and hotel. The hotel is stunning, check in was amazing speedy, early check in. Room beautiful, I was so impressed. Day 2 I went pro the pool to find out it was closed due to fires (it would have been nice to have a list of hotel pools that I could use in stead since I came for the pool experience) I spent my time browsing then headed to the spa. I was so excited for the spa experience. Check in was great and smooth all attendants were kind and helped me, I waited to be taken back for over 10 minutes, others were taken back before me that had checked in after me. The spa itself self was a beautiful place, quiet, tranquility. The lockers system was easy and nice. However the snack area was a mess, little snacks at my 1pm check in. I had a 60 minute oddsey massage, a spa attendant helped me pick out a few days before. The male provider was short in the intake didnāt ask me any questions about myself or areas to avoid. I was a number to him. He did great work on my upper back then when got to the lower completely checked out. No pressure, no engaging of stretching, just going through the motions. He did a scalp massage to which he held areas of my head with no pressure then would move his hands and do the same, if this was energy work I had no idea. It seemed like because my ticket was closed out before treatment, he didnāt offer to do any upgrades on a second ticket or even care to tell me what was offered. He stood on the towel I was supposed to get on and off the table with, I was covered with a light sheet, the lighting was so bright when I was face up I couldnāt relax, he used a face cradle cover to cover my eyes, that in a luxury resort is mind blowing, He just did not care, he did the massage he wanted took the money and I left feeling horrible. Whatās worse is I told 2 spa attendants and they said nothing, other than thatās too bad. I tryed to enjoy the spa and at check out I was asked how things were, again now I brought up this experience and the spa manager was brought out. He asked me what the problem was. 5 people, I had to tell an issue when the first spa attendant could have notified a manager and handlers the situation then. Spa manager gas lit me and asked why I didnāt redirect the MT. He took no accountability, he did not value my feelings, he did not care. He gave 30% off and when I asked to get contact for spa director that was a āme problem ā He never said he was sorry or made me left feeling better. Honestly that was the worst experience Iāve had in spas and I have been to over 20. Whatās worse for fountain blue is so many people I work with ask about luxury spa, and travel to it and now Caesars will forever be my go to (see Andrew) Not the experience I thought I would have on a trip for this specific spa. Room service was over priced for a well done steak, sent it back, they assured me it would be there in time before my event, took another hour still well done missed said event. At check out the I told the front desk about these issues, I waited for manager another 15 minutes missed my Lyft to the airport. Over all a huge L Vegas is in a time of needing travel and the management of the fountain blue really ruined this trip for me, but more so for them. I go to Vegas a few times a month and I was looking forward to calling fountain blue my new Vegas home.
I work in high end spa and hands down the spa is amazing, price for a half done massage is awful. Just save yourself the hassle and pay 180. For...
