Now, this buffet is terrible, it isn't close to the best, whichever option you decided to eat wether it be breakfast or dinner you will be stuck with that option do not think that they will switch entrees beforehand. The variety is fairly minimal, nothing shocking, the basics of what a Las Vegas Buffet should be. The atmosphere is very underwhelming for today's standards, it looks drab, not modern, very cheap and tacky. If it was up to me and you would like a nice buffet to go to, I would rather exit the strip and go to the Golden Corral that is in Henderson, NV. Much more options, better customer service, you should already know what is there, and it's even cheaper than the Circus Buffet. 2 Stars, almost headed towards one star just because it barely scrapes the minimum requirements of what a 2 star is. Personally, more variety is needed, and a better atmosphere, simple changes that could change this to maybe a 4 star easily. Although, there are some good dishes that this buffet does offer, but it isn't worth it, it isn't worth it.

Well, I gave the buffet at Circus Circus two stars because the carrot cake and ice cream were good. We went for dinner on the 4th of July 2021, and it was $30.99 per person. We spent the prior evening on the craps table for at least 8 hours which gave us a $1.52 to add to the bill. I guess hospitality really has changed with the new owners. The lines are long. Did I mention long? So, if you're really hungry have something small before you go to eat. You'll thank me later.

I HAD A SPOILED MELON ! and the manager's response was : "okay, I'll let the staff know"( in a robotic tone) (yes, he was not even sorry) Well, I'm gonna say your lucky that I didn't get time to argue with you further on this matter, instead, your response has put me off from ever visiting this place again! So BEWARE everyone, to whom has ever walked pass and considered going in to this restaurant.

Honestly 2 stars is generous. The workers were nice that’s all I gotta say really. First thing I had was the salad. I don’t know but usually the salad will make you excited for the meal but I’d say it was alright. Then I started off with the first. Everything looked good and homemade but then when I sat down oh hell broke loose. I mean honestly the chicken looked seasoned but was pale. Mac n cheese looked really good but I’d rather have those hot Cheetos Mac n cheese cups and those are TERRIBle. I took one bite and never looked at it again. It was like staring at bubble bass walking into the Krusty krab trying to order. I mean cmon I’d rather spend 50 dollars and just make the food myself the Mac n cheese was a 2/10 and I’m giving it an extra point for creativity on making it look so good. First plate was a solid 3/10 and only that because the mash potatoes were playing like harden in the playoffs against the stacked warriors team. Don’t get me started again. The breadsticks. They looked amazing and I’m talking like better than Olive Garden. Bit into it. They had seafood they were going off for gumbo didn’t really look like it but it’s alright. 6.1/10 because the seafood was really good and was juicy and honestly carried the whole dish. Juice was a little too salty tho if you drank too much but yeah. Then…. Oh it’s like a horror movie now this is scary. Got some penne and white sauce over it. Some sausage and I forgot the other thing it was so bad so I don’t remember. I took a bite into the penne cuz I was like this should be fine. Yeah it was fine. Tasted like air. Had no flavor it was like I was biting into literal nothing. Then finally, the dessert. All of the stuff like pies and cake looked bad just check other reviews for that. So I just took a brownie cuz it looked really good and got an ice cream cone. The brownie idk how but when I bit into it I was like damn it low-key taste good. Then it hit to me. I don’t know how but they Messed up the bread part idek how. Then the ice cream cone. See you can’t really go wrong with an ice cream cone. The way I rank an ice cream cone is a McDonald’s one is the average tasting one which is really good. ice cream cones should never disappoint you. You might see where this was going. But you are right this is the way it’s going. See messing one up is really hard. Honestly, it wasn’t bad but getting below a McDonald’s level is hard. But, obviously not for them apparently this isn’t mission impossible this is mission successful because they have successfully managed to mess it up. Now don’t get me wrong I enjoyed it I even got one on the way out. But they somehow messed it up. Why? Don’t feel like explaining. Overall, on the scaling it goes from 1 being I would never go here (a white family reunion in Wyoming), 4 if I have to I will (Burger King), 6 this js alright but not my first option (Wendy’s), 7 this is pretty much the average place I’ll go to if I’m feeling it (chipotle or McDonald’s) , 8-9 now this is what I’m talking bout the food Is amazing but not 5 star (five guys) 10, perfect… (Olive Garden). You might be wondering why I’m giving the higher rankings. Why? Idk. This is a 2 it will never be my first option some foods were alright and most of it felt like a white cookout. But worse. No racial of course and...

NO IT'S NOT DECENT FOR THE PRICE! I originally posted this review and update elsewhere, but google deserves it too! They only get 2stars because of the buffet staff, they at least were all very nice. Go to Mainsteet Station downtown! It actually taste good for $8 less!

UPDATE: Beyond unimpressed by Circus Circus' customer relations, since they left an email address(on the pace I originally reviewed Circus Circus, not here). I decided to to write them on March 8th(my birthday!) and explain what happened in hopes they would actually give a response that showed they care, nearly 2 months later, no email response back from them.

It is more than apparent that their response is little more than gratuitous PR grab. I'm sorry Circus Circus, but you are tainting my opinion of you even more and I love going to the Midway, but your terrible response, or lack there of, in private correspondence, shows where your heart really is. Appearances and profits. HOW ABOUT FIX IT FOR REAL?

First review:

I have been to this Buffet about 5 times over the last 18yrs and the thing about it is that it hasn't really changed, other than been slightly less bad than it used to be. When I was a kid, we always stayed at Circus Circus, and even then, I do not remember this being a good place to eat, and it wasn't, and it still is not.

What is the primary problem? Overcooked food and a lack of flavor. The salad bar is lacking as well. The meats are usually well overcooked if not dry, including the chorizo I had last time I went, it was bone dry... Chorizo should be kind of wet, not like eating a load of stale bread.

I watched people pay, walk around, and then go get a refund after looking at the food. I do not think it is that bad, although my husband will say otherwise. The thing is, if you go off strip to a place like the Mainstreet Station, you will get a meal that is $8 cheaper, a bigger selection, and it taste a heck of a lot better, anywhere downtown is better actually and cheaper, get a bus ticket, you'll still save like $5. I would rather pay a few more bucks and eat at Harrah's for $6 more, at least all of their stuff is made from scratch and taste fresh.

Overall, for the price you pay, it just is not worth, although it is better than it used to be, it is still way below par for a buffet on the strip, just saying.

Hey Circus Circus management, I hope you're reading this because I am a long time customer, and it would definitely be a good idea to fire your cooks, hire some new ones, and start using more spices, and get a better variety of...

FYI, we may just be snobs but... With an 18% tip I paid $67 for three of us (1 child) at the weekday brunch buffet. That is a big deal for us. And that was the one thing my kids were looking forward to, coming to Vegas. We enjoyed ourselves enough, but we all agreed we never need to come back. The staff were lovely and attentive and it's clean and people we meet in line seemed upbeat for sure. I particularly enjoyed the sense of humor of an Hispanic-looking and sounding woman attending to the food next to the big ham and the baked beans. But really, it's not great. The chimichangas, the waffles, fried chicken, fried shrimp, breakfast sausages, and so much more- all really very mediocre. I think the gravy is made from a box. The steamed veggies were done perfectly, surprisingly, but who goes to a buffet for steamed veggies? I only took some because they were the only dish with significant greens that looked appealing. Also, I thought the carrot cake was brilliantly spiced, so that was a plus. My 13-y-o, who craves McDonald's, but who rarely gets it, also thought the food was low quality, particularly the sweet crepes if that says anything. We live in Portland, OR and are spoiled by the food there but more than that we hardly eat out so maybe take this with a grain of salt. This may be apples and oranges, but I thought Black Panther was embarrassingly bad too, so that's what kind of people we are (I.e., picky). I am only bothering to submit this because my kids remembered this buffet from a previous trip and we always talk about going back and we were pretty disappointed...
