There is a Vons here. You really should read my review of Vons. The one in University Plaza. I already reviewed it. But now comes the time to review the Plaza in which it is contained. There is also one restaurant of Del Taco contained in University Plaza. I just met this lady, and she was wondering where the closest Del Taco was located. She really wanted to eat there because she is from Alabama, and they must not have Del Taco at her location. So I pointed her toward the one in this plaza. I wonder what she is going to order first. Probably the tacos. Maybe a side of fries. God bless her and her lady soul. The parking area is the first thing you will see, besides the plaza itself. I don't know if they are still accepting plasma donations at this strip mall. You might want to check with the front office before you bus all the way over there. They always pay more for your first donation anyway. But you must sign up soon and commit to 2 donations per week for maximum income. Too bad it isn't this easy to sell your extra kidney or liver. Those would likely fetch a pretty penny indeed. I wonder how long until someone donates their heart and has it replaced with one of those pig hearts. These are the things that keep me up at...
Read moreIt's a bit of a challenge every time I go in this shopping center. Located in a pretty rough part of town. Doesn't have any shops that interest me. I just go to the grocery store there. No clothing shops or shoe shops or dollar store. There's a cell phone place, grocery store, a bar, Del Taco. That's all I've noticed because I can't really look around. I have to get in and get out and keep an eye on my purse, my car and my immediate surroundings! It's infested with homeless people begging, drugs and just people hanging out instead of getting a job! I guess the store owners don't care because they don't ask them to leave the property. Maybe they are scared. Who knows. I try not to go there anymore than I have too and I certainly don't go there at night! Sure, there's cops all over but the strange thing is, they don't stop and question the street people. Who are the ones up to no good. They stop the people that look out of place in that area. If you have a descent looking car, if your hair is brushed or nice clothes. You're going to be questioned as to why you're in the neighborhood. My suggestion, there's a Walmart about 1 mile down the street. Go...
Read moreWent into Vons for some groceries when we got to our timeshare Friday night. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The area was ROUGH, to say the least. The security guard at the door was NOT helpful when I asked where all the shopping carts were. He just pointed outside where there weren't any. So many of the customers were on drugs and walking around like zombies. Later that weekend we had lunch with a friend, who lived locally, and we told her about going to that grocery store. She replied, "Don't go there after dark!" We parked right by a car that had it's back window busted out, but it appeared that it had happened some time ago. We don't scare easily, so we returned to the store a few days later for more groceries and the same car was parked in the same spot. I don't know if it had been abandoned there or if it belonged to an employee. If you have another alternative, I would...
