Asian Market — Attraction in Corpus Christi

The Asian Market in town. One of the most reliable and clean Asian markets in Courpus Christi. It located very to the highway north of Corpus Christi downtown. It takes about 15 min from the famous North Beach. Very convenient location for tourists and locals. The market was very clean and organized. Easy to find different varieties of Asian, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Philippines cusine, ingredients, spices and products. There were a few fruits and produce from Overseas and Southeast Asian and Mexico. There were frozen items from Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. There were no fresh fishes or meat here. Just frozen fresh caught fishes, seafood, meatballs and other impprt products. There many instant noodle, dipping sauce, cooking sauces, snacks and drinks you find in Thailand, Vietnam, and Philippines. You need to find a fresh vegetables and special spices or ingredients for your Asian cuisine. This is a good place to check out. Come by and check it out see what you need to make. I have a mixed race small military family. My small children and I walked right into the Asian market and right away greeted with ugly looks from the workers who worked the cash register in the front. They kept eyeing us while we were shopping making us feel quiet uncomfortable. I noticed another worker come from the back of the store and he treated us the same way but started to try and intimidate my kids and I by approaching us and walking away while my husband was walking around somewhere else. I never had this problem going into the other asian market in corpus. It made me feel completely uncomfortable and worried about my family safety when the worker started to approach us at a fast pace then walk away without saying anything. Please do not shop at this Asian market. I had such high hopes on going for the first time once I found out about it only to leave completely...

Update: They revamped the place and now have made room for even more items to choose from. Looks great! I am still a loyal customer to this particular Asian market when I'm in Corpus.

I shop here quite often! They have a good variety and the prices are fair. The employees are very helpful and friendly. Aside from food and drink items, they have things like dishes, utensils and cooking items. They sure do have a lot in there for being such a small store. I highly recommend it. It's always fun to grab a fruit or veggie you've never seen or heard of and give it a whirl! They recently renovated a bit and added a larger frozen section and tons of dessert items.
