My PS5's laser lens gave out on me yesterday. My warranty with Sony had just run out. Sony wants a ridiculous amount to fix the issue, which has been noted to be common for systems approaching the 2 year mark. Instead of having to wait a week+ turnaround from Sony's Support, I brought my system in earlier this afternoon and got it back working properly within hours (turnaround time depends on if they have the part in stock / how big of an issue as well). 6 Month warranty was included for the service provided as well.

The price for fixing this issue was respectful. James and Ishmael are both courteous and knowledgeable at fixLab.

This is the place!!! Ishmael helped me out, super super friendly. The place is small but clean, and the products they have on display make me confident that they KNOW what they are doing. Gave me a quote and estimated repair time for free. It sounded too good to be true, so I pulled up. It was NOT. The truth is they are quality technical repairmen. Ishmael gave me the total cost and the run down for basic repairs, I was totally okay with it, super respectful, and informative. Came back after the quoted time (literally right on the money, lol) he explained what was wrong with my controller and how they fixed in, no hidden fees, nothing. First and foremost I am a mechanical services contractor with a concentration on controls and rack systems, prior to taking my PS5 I had observed problems on the unit itself, particularly the rusting of my Liquid Metal applicant from the factory. I knew beforehand what the issue was but wanted to see what they would say.
