I started at the studio a little over a year ago brand new to the acting world. I had only ever done background work, so I started in the intro class and I’m SO THANKFUL that I landed here. Jamie is an incredible instructor and does an amazing job of gauging each student’s goals and then tailoring her notes specific to each individual. As you grow, she keeps the exercises and scene study work perfectly balanced to continue cultivating your innate creativity while implementing techniques to help you authentically relate to circumstances or play actions that do not come quite as naturally. It has been really fun and enriching to collaborate with the other actors and actresses who train here, as we all have different strengths and continually learn from one another. My background is in athletics, and the studio really does feel like a team; we work together, improve together, and cheer each other’s successes as we book more and more roles as a result of our training here. Watching Lisina interact with the advanced students at the studio is invaluable, and she has such a pulse for the current happenings in the industry because she is constantly on set working on a variety of productions. John responds immediately to any sort of administrative question you might have and has been incredibly helpful along the way. I can’t speak highly enough of the entire TCAS team. I feel so comfortable in front of a camera because of them. While I studied theatre for years, acting for film and stage are two very different skills and their curriculum will prepare you for both.

We have so much structure around script analysis and audition technique that every time I approach a new script, I feel confident that I will understand the character enough to make strong choices.

My teachers have always been brilliant and I am so happy that I got to not only work with Chandra and Wes when I started in level one, but that I worked my way through the program into Master Class with Jamie and Lisina. All of the instructors heightened my skills through every level and I am excited to better my improv skills with Katie.

I have been studying with TCAS for a little over a year now, and wow. I am beyond greatful for the technique, growth and absolute appreciation for the craft this studio has brought to me. Lisina and her brilliant team of teachers provide a plethora of insight into character and script analysis that is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. Not only do I feel like I have a FAMILY of beautiful people to work with each week, their ability to communicate ideas and strengthen the actor’s toolbox of skills through knowledge and imagination makes me feel like I am able to consistently approach my work with a confidence that I am making the best possible choices for my characters.
