This review is of the dry cleaning and customer service desk at the front of the store. I dropped off a suit to be dry cleaned there was no issues with the drop of, fast easy. One thing that was a little weird is they didn’t ask about stains on the clothes or anything like that. After I dropped off my suit I had to go to a couple of the other stores in the plaza Giant Eagle is in before getting my groceries. When I came back in about 10 minutes later my very expensive custom suit was still sitting on the counter with no tag or anything on it labeling it as mine. Someone, not an employee, could have easily grabbed it and walked away. I brought it to the attention of someone who appeared to be a manager (wearing business casual clothes and no a Giant Eagle Uniform) behind the customer service counter. She told me not to worry and no one would “want to take that”. I would love to think no one would take something but in today’s day and age I wouldn’t put it past anyone. She then grumbled and complained under her breath and put my clothes in a bag and on the dry cleaning rack.
2 days later I hadn’t heard anything about my suit being done. I figured I would get a phone call or text saying it was done considering I had to give them at drop off. I called the store and the person I spoke to on the phone seem annoyed I called and ask. She said “you don’t get anything when your stuff is done. We don’t do that, we told you that when you dropped off”. I am almost 100% sure this was not told to me when I dropped off.
Do not recommend saving a couple bucks and getting your clothes dry cleaned here. Spend the extra money and give your self the piece of mind going someplace better.
Other then that store is great. They have everything an anything...
Read moreI can't self checkout without using an "Giant Eagle Advantage card?" WTH! I dont want my purchases of a Jar of Pickles, Bag of M&M's, and Douche catalogued so the can sell it to some marketing agency who will send me a Summer Eve post cards in my mailbox. You don't save anything on gas with their rewards program because what you save is made up for in what you pay in the store. Giant Eagle is WAY over priced creepy. Then they have store cards when you dont have one. Who gets those discounts? They make no mention that I have found of so I would assume they Just keep is as normal revenue.Their privacy policy on this cards is truly horrifying, They Sell, track and use your data in every way they can to make more money. Then go as far as to say that their servers can not be guaranteed to be safe and may get hacked, and if it does they are not responsible. If they make money off of storing Credit/Debit cards, Social Security numbers (You read that right), phone numbers, addresses, and your typical umbrella (Anything else) legal wording, I would most certainly say they should be held responsible.
Basically, They can make money off you, buy they get hacked, or a disgruntled employee slaps that data dump on pastebin, they dont have your back. Thanks for the "Dis"-counts. Oh, and one more thing. If you buy one peanut, it does not come up on the scale, so you get it for free. Thats why I didn't give...
Read moreI understand that places run out of things from time to time, but, when its an E-Advantage item, you should have it on hand to honor the time if the ad. I am in reference to the Butterfinger candy bar. Now I understand its only a candy bar, but maybe consider offering something of equal value in its place until your order arrives. I was there yesterday morning before 7 am. I looked all over for the candy bar but couldn't find it. When I checked out, I inquired about it, and the cashier said there was a display in front of the customer service desk. That was true, but it was completely empty. So she called the Grocery Manager, and she proceeds to tell me that they didn't have any, and I would have to make another trip back to get it. Then, this is what really is prompting me to write this review--she makes the comment that customers get greedy and take them. First of all, how can they be greedy as that the E-Advantage card is going to only allow them to get one free???? This was the most winy, piney, assenine comment I have ever heard. Otherwise, not a bad store, but I may do my shopping at another Giant Eagle. Just was put off by having to come back, and...
